wood turning a wood stake
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
what can you make with a wood stake? In this woodturning video I am using a wood stake for this wood turning project. I got this package of wood stakes for $6 at the hardware store. The wood lathe project is a wooden spatula for the kitchen. The finish I used is mineral oil.
These are great wood turning projects for craft fairs. An easy woodturning project for beginners. Once your setup you can make these in about 10 minutes.

Fantastic video! I love tbat you turn with found or inexpensive wood and make useful things. Lathes are expensive already and its great to know that we dont have to have expensive wood too. Please keep it up.

Hello Master! Awhile back you gave me your recipe for high friction polish. Unfortunately being in California they have outlawed Denatured Achohol. However Amazon is letting me purchase 200 proof Denatured alcohol....Do you know if there is any difference between Denatured Alcohol and 200 proof denatured alcohol?...As always thanks for the fantastic videos and knowledgeable advice!!

My denatured alcohol is 190 proof. So what your looking at is a little better. That should work great for you.
I see most spoons and spatulas have straight handles. Would offset turning give you the crank where the spoon/spatula joins the handle?

There usually isn't enough wood in the blank to allow off center turning. I think the best bet is to carve it for that type of bend. The other option is to try steaming the wood to make the bend.

@@RcWoodturning thanks for the reply. I can see what you mean. You would need bigger stock. Maybe a branch with a bend in it, but you would have the pith to contend with. I wonder if you could split it first. More food for thought.
I bet I'm not the only one wondering what the fuck that thing is? 🤯🤯🤯
