woodturning - make money with branches

In this new wood turning video I am making 4 woodturning projects. All the wood turning projects are made from 1 cedar branch. These are all pretty simple projects. Great idea for beginner woodturning projects,
Each project can be done in around 10 minutes. These are also good sellers at craft shows or online. This is great way to make money or fund your shop/hobby. All these woodworking projects are easy and take only a few tools.
This is a good woodturning video for beginners. please share it if you know someone just starting out in woodturning.
This will give them some woodturning project ideas.
I hope you enjoy/enjoyed this week's woodturning video.
Thanks for watching.

My wife has commented on the branches and limbs along with other pieced of wood. When I mentioned your videos using branches, she in a roundabout way said to get turning. BTW, does this make you a branch manager?😉

Do you ever have issues with the wood splitting/cracking after you have turned something? I enjoy using branches, but the items always split or crack after a few days or weeks.

I don't have many issues with cracking, but it does happen sometimes if the wood is green. If you turn the green wood then put it in a bag covered with shavings for awhile that helps. I have a plastic tub I use if I turn really green wood. Fill the bottom with shavings then put the turned items in and cover with the rest of the shavings so they are covered. Then let them sit for a couple weeks to a month. Don't put the lid on tight so air can get in. You can also use a paper bag. Hope that helps.

They are pretty easy projects. Each one takes about 10 minutes maybe 15. Depends on your experience. The little bowl is a bit more involved so a little longer on that one. Thanks for watching Lillie, I appreciate it.
