I really like that you didn’t fill in the burls and “imperfections” with epoxy. The gaps in the wood really added nice character to the finished piece.

If it were clear epoxy, that could be cool. Right now, I'm not exactly sure what he was trying to make, but with the epoxy, or resin, he could have a more complete appearance to the art.

I agree! The "imperfections" are where the pieces character lies ❤
I lived off-grid on the sea for 13 years, had own anchorage & a small rustic float camp 6 miles from Tofino BC. Yew wood around there was harvested for the coldest times since it burned like coal. Heard rumor of a registry for yew but never researched the largest specimen found. Found one more that 3 foot diameter & I harvested almost a dozen large (dead) branches the size of a man`s waist but left the massive live trunk & a couple live branches.
Yew is such a gorgeous wood, the grain is just amazing and I really love that you left it natural. Beautiful work Andy
I already know this will be amazing before I even watch. ❤ My dad was a master carpenter and he was always working on something and sometimes it’s nice to hear the same noise again.

Always enjoy seeing your insanely gorgeous works!! Beautifully done, sir!!
A truly wonderful piece, it may look eerie but also charming so congratulations
The wood never disappoints, and neither do you . Great job 👏
Beautiful. You took a chunk of wood & within minutes create a vessel with a lovely voluptuous shape. My new favourite! 👏🏻👏🏻
I love that you took the bark off and kept three holes. So much character in the piece. One question, where did the red wood shown at the beginning go?
Andy, this is another great piece of art. You are such a skilled craftsman and I love watching your work. Thank you for sharing.
Forget the wood, Yew never disappoint! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The shape allowed for good interior camera angles and the lighting was just right. When you do narrow mouth vessels, I always marvel at how you know just how far you can go without cutting right through the piece.
I never realized that Yew wood was so pretty. Great job Andy, it's beautiful.

This is beautiful. You've exposed the beauty in the wood as it is. Just focused on the wood itself. Marvelous!
Stunning. Absolutely stunning! I'm not one for ornaments, but I'd give anything of yours pride of place.

Absolutely Gorgeous!!
Gorgeous piece dude!
The oil really enhances the color of yew. Hopefully I can get some to turn one day.
I'm sure I've watched a video or two of yours before but I don't remember that roller skate jig, that's clever.
Beautiful wood getting it's due homage. I love it. For me this is what you are all about: turning the unpromising into wonder.
Wood looks awesome!
Amazing as usual.
Its something else mate👍. Marvellous .
Gorgeous!
I love that rollerblade wheel jig. that would make me feel so much more comfortable turning big pieces.
I knew when I saw the title this will be good. Yew is probably the best turning wood there is. It has lots of appealing character.
Great piece…even has a smiley face on the side when you look upside down at it 😀

Wow! Andy this piece is simply amazing a great job! I liked the gouge cam angle a great deal, hardly any shake to the picture and was a smashing perspective. Youve instilled some ideas as all we woodturners can do is look at a lump of wood and think which way it will go. Your easy steady is also a great , been thinking about one myself. Thanks for your video! Cheers
Wunderschön, Andy - ist echt ein schönes Stück geworden. Top Job und beste Grüße aus Rheinhessen - Mike (alias Payman)
Beautiful as always
Absolutely gorgeous as usual
Vielen Dank! Wieder einmal wunderschön!
As someone who has only the vaguest idea of the work involved in woodturning, I gotta say I really appreciate when you properly hollow out a vase. 🖐😩👌
