I've been turned off of epoxy by some people who seem to be using it as a substitute for material and imagination. You are using it as an enhancement, emphasizing the wood rather than the additives. Very tastefully done! And I personally think it has the perfect amount of being. Good job!

Wood turnings are nearly eternal examples of skill and beauty. Epoxy isn't eternal, though it will last a while before becoming scratched, brittle, and cloudy.
I'm really agreeing with the people who love that the wood shines through on this one. I love color and stuff but letting the wood go forward was a great choice!

Hi Jim , Yes that’s a BEAUTY! You asked if the viewers have wood that might be suitable for Unique Turnings! I have a Lilac Root about 12”x12” round maybe! It’s been outside for several years, we use it to hold open the back gate! Quite heavy, Lilac is tough wood! It’s yours if you’d like! I sent you Myrtle Wood a few years ago!

No! The pigment is strong enough! Love it not "blinged-up". This will get more beautiful to the eye every day.

Wow, Jim! This is going in my top 10, for sure! Definitely top 5 as far as hollow forms! As soon as you cut the wood in half, I was silently chanting "hollow form, hollow form, hollow form! It's been a while since he's done one!". The movement in it is truly artistic. It's moodier than you usually do your pieces, but I LOVE it. The color of the Epoxy Resin hypershift is beautiful! I can appreciate a bit of transparency, so at least on this side of the camera it compliments the wood perfectly. The wood has so much character, I love that it's center focus!
