"it's a coffee cup, i don't see the problem sir"
I was also thinking about the coffee smell while you were working on the lathe! The big question is "How well is the mug holding up?" Given that the beans weren't fully engulfed in resin at the top, I was wondering whether they started coming off.
@Nievesspecial
Жыл бұрын
I made something similar (different kind of bean) and yeah, they did start coming out. I'm guessing it was an effect of the moisture levels causing them to expand/contract when they weren't fully engulfed. I filled the gaps with UV resin for the ones that came out as I was turning, then coated the whole thing in a food safe polyurethane coating. It's only been a few weeks but it's held up well so far.
This would be an awesome tip jar at a coffee shop
I bet that smelled amazing turning.

Whoa! What an idea. And I think it was nicely smell))
Interesting piece of work. I am sure it made the shop smell wonderful. Thanks for sharing. 👍😁🇨🇱🇺🇸
I will take a stab at it and say that you literally and figuratively and metaphorically made a beautiful coffee mug.
Great idea! Awesome result!
i bet the aroma of your shop was awesome for days.
Great idea for us coffee drinkers! I bet your shop smelled wonderful! Thanks for sharing.
Incredible result, I love it
What fantasy! Very well done!

THIS IS GLORIOUS!!! IT IS WORTHY OF MY COFFEE!!!
Love it Villy and as others have said your workshop must have smelt fantastic. Take care Villy. Cheers, Huw
That had to be the best smelling piece of art you've ever done!
That would make a great gift for the coffee drinker who has everything.
It's freaking beautiful work man it's just I can't seem to get over how much waste this creates
Bet this one smelled good. Coolest coffee tumbler ever. I'd buy it if for sale.
do vanilla beans next.....very expensive.....but very fragrant
Fella knows how to take the term "Coffee Cup" to a whole 'nother level

PERFEKT.-)))))BRAVO😍
The cutest coffee cup ever!
2:29 Is it possible to make small squares of the raisin before using that process? Because then you could've closed the container off to make everything more aligned with the bottom of the container, by putting something heavy on that square.
Bro it’s a literal coffee mug that’s so fuckin cool
This is cool.. Love it!!
Your shop must smell delicious.
Wow , that is so cool, your shop must have smelled amazing while doing this. Love it.

Deadly!
Oooh, loved this. I wonder if it would be possible with other things like nuts. Would be cool to see
Nicely done 👍👍👍Thanks for sharing
And this is why I love crafts (plural for the many craft disciplines)
Looks more like an urn, could use it for grandma! lol
Your work always calms me.
You Sir are a Champion! Thank you!
In some part of the world starbucks is watching this video and getting offended. Lol
Anybody else smelling coffee & drooling?
You know, it's not coming like it sounds in my head... You added so many coffee beans😬😬😊😊
Coffee heaven for sure.
coffee and epoxy were irrationally spent, it would be possible to use a round mold for pouring and insert something round inside, as an option, you can make an airtight mold from plastic or use plastic bottles
Why not use a cylindricar mold/container from start? Does it have to be cubic for resin?
I think that process would create a cool tap handle..
Incredible!
Cool Piece Villy!
I bet that smells phenomenal for a coffee lover
I bet working on that piece smelled amazing!
Nice job
It's 1 am but I want coffee. Nope, better not. That was fascinating and looks good.
It's just the things you come up with in the ideas that you have a very unique
Making this must have smelled AMAZING.
Super 👷👍
Nice work!
That's the 1st thing that came to mind......"I bet it smelt awesome up in there!!!"🤣 Nice job!!!😎👍
Never done wood turning, could someone explain the physics of the boat? Is it just a fume catch?
Looks beautiful

THANK YOU FOR MAKING SOMETHING DIFFRENT!!!!!! Every channel I watch makes bowls, vases and boxes (very, very beautiful ones) and it gets a bit monotonous after awhile. (Understand I'm not downing that content it's just wonderful to see fresh ideas) AND COFFEE!!!!!!! Need I say more?
I have only one question. Why are blanks square?
Thanks for sharing, cool project and interesting process. Full View and Like 👍

Best coffee mug ever! Ooooh the lovely smell! (minus the resin)
I like it
Always satisfied at the end.👌👌
Hermosa pieza, muy original!!!!💖💖💖💖
Nice Wouldn't it be better if I made a vacuum inside from the start? Save effort and materials
Super
Would it be possible to have more space between the beans to get more see-through bits? I guess they are not heavy enough to put into the pre-poured cup to let them sink down.
When you turned it did the smell wake you up
Too Cool
I'll bet that smelled great when you were turning it.
Well done. Very interesting concept.
I bet that smelled so good when making
mmmmmmmm coffee! Love your work! May I ask an ignorant question? Is the pressure tank a means of pushing out air bubbles from the epoxy?
I know I’m quite late, but what did you end up doing with that smaller bit of coffee beans that was in the other jar?
Would painting the outside with some more epoxy be beneficial??
Oh my gosh my husband and I need this
Were you able to smeel it while turning?
awesome job!!!!what type and brand vessel are you using to cure it? I'm assuming its a pressure chamber and not a vacuum

Yup it’s a pressur pot
Can you tell us how delicious that shop smell after the work you made
Especially when a piece narrows down, how do you calculate how far you can go hollowing it out without having a thinner wall deeper in?
Is it a bad idea to touch it while its spinning or is it fine?
You got my sub for this video. I love coffee. ❤
عالی بود 🌹
Dame coffee Thermos mad with coffe beans I want to be in your work shop will making thees things..would smell like heaven!
This is awesome! So if you were to use this for your drinks, what would the care/cleaning instructions be for the longevity of the piece? Would it be safe due to the resin encasing it?

The aluminum inside it’s made for and yah you can clean 🧼 but not in a dishwasher
Very cool - was the scent of coffee permeate the air while turning?
