Excellent example of adding the right pigment to blend everything together. Well done.

Thank you very much Jerry, I was very happy with how it turned out.
I think it looks like a pretty sunset. I like it very much and love the hot pink too.

Thank you. Nature did half the work for me.
Love it! The Crimson was an excellent choice to go with the beautiful color in that grain.

Thanks, I was pretty pleased with how it turned out. I was considering green as it is complementary to red, but am glad I didn’t.
Stunning Rob and well worth the 18 month wait I think. Perfect choice of colour for filling the void. Take care Rob. Cheers, Huw

Thank you Huw, I am trying to finish some of the projects lying on the garage floor 😁
Great bowl. The color and movement in the wood is fabulous. You did a super job with it. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Doug, I really struggled to cut it cleanly once dry, the grain was all over the place.
Absolutely love this, Rob! Flaming box elder is amazing to turn!

I found it very challenging to cut cleanly as the grain was all over the place and a little soft in some places.
Cracking looking bowl Rob ,love that red that sort of bleeds in the grain. Cheers, Bram

Hi Bram, thank you. I love the red too. The boxelder does that in response to injury, so we can thank the beetle for doing their part. I hope you are well?
I like maple-you never know what you can find inside-those beautyful red parts and sometimes thin black thteads.Pretty bowl.Well done!

Thanks Tim, it is amazing how the wood piles up when you start looking. Found that one along the side of the road.
I'd like to see it in a year after it darkens. Bet it's spectacular.

It hasn’t darkened much, which is a little disappointing. I think the polymer coating I used has a UV blocker.
Gorgeous piece of wood!

Thank you, I wanted to save the red on the outside and the feathering inside, so left it thicker than normal.
