Thank you Doug, I didn’t really plan to make it a natural edge, I just wanted to make sure that the figure wasn’t lost, then ran out of wood :)

@@RobBrandtWoodturning The name Fatbellymark has no relevance to me, it's just a name I used years ago to get an email address that was all one word without any numbers being added to it. So when I started my KZread channel I thought it was an apt name for my shed. Strange hey thanks for asking Stu.

Hi Lee, i recommend a full sized lathe if you can manage it. I bought two other smaller ones, progressively bigger, first…which I now regret. If you are new to turning, you could join a club and use their gear. Mine charges less than $100 for the year. Let me know what you get. Keep well, Rob

Thank you Nik, I used the angle drill from Woodturners wonders woodturnerswonders.com/collections/angle-drill .For what it is worth, I damaged the gearbox drilling too big a hole and the motor quit on me while I was trying to get a replacement gearbox. It could be that the electric portion was damaged because of too much stress from the damaged gearbox. I bought this (amzn.to/3KRSmUv) as a replacement, it seems sturdier but only time will tell. I hope this helps Nik.
