Woodturning - Are those some sort of underwater creatures?

In this woodturning video, I will transform some pine cones into a hybrid epoxy resin vase / vessel. Pine cones were stabilised in cactus juice resin prior to casting then used my go to deep pour casting resin with purple mix powder. Using negative rake carbide tips help massively when working with resin to avoid any chip outs. At the end I finished with several layers of clear gloss lacquer for premium look. Happy Watching 😊

Wonderful piece ill never look at pinecones the same again, they definitely look like little sea creatures. I wonder what those sycamore seeds that they call helicopters would look like in a vase like this one?😊

Thank you so much 😀 Yeah pinecones looks awesome when turned on the lathe. I accidentally got into turning pinecones but now this is one of my favourites :)
Pinecones realy work where as dried flowers I dont think look anywhere as good.

Is teak still considered hard to come by? Not sure how many folks know but the battleship New Jersey museum is just aabout to wrap up a re-decking. They are selling the salvageable scraps of her old deck. Teak can be hard to come by and this teak has a story. Just thought you or someone who watches these videos may want to know.
