There is something strangely appealing about the Ocean Ice inset and a Shark Band-aid. Beautiful bowl, I was praying the ears of the bunny did not get stuck in the chuck. Your associate is such a cute whirling dervish. Those brown eyes...You have your hands full Ms. Peggy. Enjoy and cherish every moment. Hi Peggy, the bowl is absolutely stunning! Take a look at a video by Cam over at Black Tail Studios. He is not a turner but wood worker. He recently put up a video about upgrading his dust collection! He incorporated a lot of great ideas! Really worth watching! Take care and stay safe!

The ice is nice. You should turn FOTG wood--you'll save a ton of $$ and it is often more interesting than anything you can buy at the store! Worth the effort.

Turned out awesome!!! Loved seeing your visitor and enjoy when my daughters watch me turn. I have been looking at dust collection extensively. Checked out Clear Vue, Oneida, Powematic, Grizzly, Jet, and several off brands. I am now investigating Laguna’s 3hp Two stage dust collection system. The footprint is what I am looking for and is a self contained portable unit. Check it out and let me know if you want to chat about the things I have learned. Happy to share.

Just keeping you in the loop on my research. I am now looking back at Oneida after seeing how much space I will have after mucking out my shop. I am researching the 3hp V-System 3000 Hepa Cyclone. With the wall mount and 55 gallon drum options along with the higher CFM, I am getting pretty excited that this may work for me. Just keeping you updated on my research.

I have been using the same two bag - squirrel cage blower - vacuum for the last 30 years. Every tool in my shop is connected to the same unit and I have never had one thing go wrong in all that time. It's a Grizzly.com. I haven't checked prices per cfm but I would bet they are still less expensive than any comparable product out there. By the way. Grand kids are your reward for not killing your kids. Just sayin'.

Hi Peggy, great project AS USUAL. Your videos have really helped me to get to a level that I don’t want throw my work away anymore, Your deceptive nature has made the whole turning process much easier for me thanks for NOT making things complicated. QUESTION, I have the same lathe as you and I’d like to know what chuck are you using? Also does it require an insert or does it fit directly to the Laguna spindle? If an insert is required pleas let me know what kind it is. Thanks so much. Dave
