Woodturning a Rotating Tray - Lazy-susan
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Finally I get to do the "wife's project"!!! I rarely make practical pieces, so I hope you enjoy this video. :) This is a rotating tray/table for your kitchen. This piece is made out of walnut and yellow epoxy resin.

I hope your wife was surprised when you gave her the beautiful piece of wood for her kitchen. I know I would be over the moon with one like that.

Your work is exceptional again Attila, you look so bored doing the mundane the rest of us strive for 🤣 Thank you for sharing and giving us ideas on what is possible. Keep on turning. Cheers, Bluey 👍

Thank you very much! Yes, she did like it. Now she wants more... :) Thank you for watching. :)
Interesting to see how you make a simple project more complex by cutting it up and pouring more resin. Nevertheless it worked out fine (again). I hope the wife is also pleased with the result.

@@Mustardpiece No, I don't like resin. It clouds my vision.😎
Hey Attila, Awesome piece! Double sided tape works very well and holds a lot better than you would think 😃 /Lars

You can glue a scrap block to bottom , mount on face plate
Beautiful job Atilla. Had to laugh out load attention ice cream truck. Another way of anchoring without screws is screw a waste block in to the face plate then glue the piece to that. A better bond wood to wood 5han wood to metal.

Thank you :)
Why such an ugly resin color for a beautiful wood like walnut? I understand if the wife specifically requested this but otherwise.... Since the blemishes were not severe perhaps walnut sanding powder with CA glue would have done the trick. I subscribed and gave a Like so I guess just playing devils advocate. Keep the vids coming. I will watch.

Thank you for your support. Our kitchen cabinet has walnut effect and mostly yellow colored staff in there. So it only made senses. You will see it on my channel that my work usually takes a very different approach than this. I hope you enjoy your stay. ~ Attila
