Good idea. My wife was wanting one for an outdoor table where we grill. I think my only change in this project is to glue cork or rubber on the bottom swivel plate so it doesn't scratch the table.

I agree if you use on a table it definitely needs a base or paddnig. Cork sounds good.

Let me know if this does not do it. kzread.info/dash/bejne/dHmes6maps-2gbg.html I do not mean to sound snarky but do you think it would be helpful to explain how to do a keyword search on my channel to see if I have a video covering a topic? You are not the first person to suggest a video topic on something I have done a video on in the past. It is not clear to me how much of the issue is "can't do versus won't do".

looks great mike . you know i dont have a solution to a project but i do have a question maybe you could answer or do a video to explain or maybe you already have one . i turn alot of boxes well i say alot but really i turn one every few weeks or so . and i have a issue keeping the lid true . like when i chuck it up and turn it its fine and true when its done and i turn the lid it does not stay true . only one side of it is like i turned it off center . one way its true turn the lid 180 degrees and its all out of line . can ya help me mike it drives me crazy .

Sounds like your work is getting out of round during your process. Wood not dry or a chucking issue, sounds like.

It just sits on some shelf liner. Seems pretty stable.
