Exactly! I love Nastia, and appreciate what she's done for WAG, especially in the United States, but her UB does not hold up the same way in the changing CoPs. He Kexin built her routine by stacking release moves and transitions, while Nastia stacked hers with pirouettes. One is objectively much harder than the other, and the codes after 2008 reflect that.

I watched a video that compared Suni’s bar routine to nastia’s and it was wild to see the difference in endurance requirements and difficulty. I do prefer longer bar routines, but I can see why they’ve condensed them down in the last few quads.

Nastia was the best gymnast that day, Shawn's 2.3 twisting Yurchenko should have not been credited as an Amanar. the fact that she even won Silver ahead of Yilin is a joke. Tie breaker gave Kexin the gold, since they had both the same difficulty and execution (the 2 lowest B-scores for each gymnasts were dropped), they dropped the next lowest score, and Kexin had a higher average than Nastia, hence why she won. Even though the current code of points categorize Nastia's routine as less difficult, back then they had the same difficulty, so I think it's kinda stupid to deny her the gold, just let them share the title like how they did in the old times

Stop doubting the greatest achievement these gymnasts ever made in their career, it's petty and unnecessary. Imagine if they kept questioning the best thing you aver did even TWELVE years later. The Olympic committee checked their age multiple times and there were no problems.

Definitely I would go for the 2012 London Olympic men's badminton final between Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei and his nemesis and friend China's Lin Dan to decide the gold medal at Birmingham. It was a match that had everything and it went to the wire in the deciding set with both shuttlers displaying vintage badminton at its best and little separates the two until the last two points. It was a repeat of their World Championship final clash at the same venue where Lin Dan prevailed over Chong Wei by just two points in the rubber set. The same happened in the Olympic final with again Lin Dan winning the gold by just two points. It was badminton in its finest flower with both battling it all out and giving nothing away until the last two points.Kudos to both for producing vintage badminton.

Nastia was very nervous, her father has prepared her for this medal all her life. And she felt compelled to do like him who was champion by the Soviet Union. She must have felt really bad, because for her the gold medal at the uneven bars would be her way of honoring her father. This tiebreaker rule was ridiculous and unfair, both deserved the gold medal.Neither of them did their best routines, they were very overscored, in fact neither deserved the gold looking today, as it was a tie, at least they should share the podium.
