i reckon if the women had 4 runs instead of just 2 Hanna Zannzi would have won, maybe she could have gone for the kickflip indy again, with 4 runs she can experiment more which suits her skateboarding better

Probably because the male sport attracts more viewers, and so they get longer air time.

Haha, I'm reading through the comments, and this is the second one about the number of runs, and I just realized one of your comments was one that I had responded to. Weird. Anyway, I think you are correct in your reasoning. I haven't seen the men's, I just assumed they changed it for everyone. That sucks it's only the women's. Even if the actual time of aired coverage for them is shorter than the men's, they should still be given the same amount of opportunity to put down a good run as the men get. They call the stuff on tv "live", but it's not. It is the same day and all, but very much not live. I'm well aware of this because a good of mine was part of the editing and production crew one year when it was in LA. They could give them three runs, do a better editing job, and still put it in the same television slot. We're only talking twelve runs at 45 seconds long. That's only 9 minutes of time on their boards. They could cut triple that time out just by cutting out some of the commentary between runs while waiting for scores. Oh well, at least there's equal pay for contest skating now.

I have a question for skate people: I have noticed that in the YT vids of street events, there are lots of negative comments saying the women are way less skilled than the men and do easier tricks (not saying I agree). I notice you don't really see that as much in Park events. Can anyone tell me if that is because women are closer in skill level to men's park competition, or are people just less negative over here? (Gonna post this on a couple of park events because I am really curious!)

Hause and Olsen The last run both fell at the end and Olson sucked worse and they didn’t penalize her when she fell at the end and moved her up to second place there had been some favoritism there
