Love it! It is unfortunate and quite unfair though that some sports like this one are giving less spotlight and importance than others, particularly when sportswomen are involved. Here you literally see the German athlete signaling that she cannot run yet because a group of runners are coming her way and she might stumble into them. If this was a professional soccer match for example you better believe that no stray runners would be given a chance to affect the athletes on field.

It's due to time constraints. They show multiple sports at the same time when track and field competitions are on. Pole vault, shot put, discus, javelin are not given exclusivity of the stadium. I agree with you that these sports aren't given enough spotlight. Not even a couple ofminutes out of a two weeks coverage of sporting events.

Yeah well this happens to mens jav too. It’s just how these competitions work because like my boy Paul already said there are time constraints and they often can’t have ONLY javelin going on and no running events. These throwers are actually very accustomed to it, hence why the German athlete waited for the runners to pass. They learn to keep their mental focus through it

Where is Maria Andrejczyk? She has done over 70m throw just recently so why she wasn`t here? I assumed if the competition was in Poland Maria would be there as well. Huge miss for Poland as she would put proper pressure on Christin.
