Can you do this for men too, I think there’s a lot of stigma around opening up as a teenage male and I think it’s a very good concept to encourage openness and allowing teens to find a safer outlet then parents or friends, for both young woman and men. Really great video though

I just turned 18 a month ago, at the age of sixteen I was dating a guy (2 years elder to me), for almost a year. he was toxic, verbally abusive. used to abuse me for my every choice, from a simple song i loved to movie choices, even hated my friends and used to trouble me a lot if I would go out with my friends for longer time and not text him in between. for months he made me cry every night and never really cared. was always selfish and self centered. his problems, his life, his dreams. nothing was mine in it. after I broke up, he blackmailed me and used to stalk me and drunk called me very often for a year. my point being, if any teenager is reading this, do not date someone who does not value you and your choices, even if you have very strong feelings towards them.

If you don’t wanna be seen as one of those men it should be good if you know which signs in behaviour will make your ( female ) Partner feel uncomfortable. There is a huge pressure on girls to look, act and be a certain way and it's absolutely ridiculous. It messes everything up and causes so many problems. I've noticed that every time i meet friends and relatives after a long time of not seeing them, the first thing they'll comment on is my appearance. Oh, you've gained weight, I preferred your old hair, this outfit doesn't look good on you and so on. I can't blame them because i don't think they realise how much damage this can cause to a person but it's important for everyone to know that you should never judge others and as the good old saying goes, if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. It's simple. Yet, we fail to apply it.

Hey, So I get what you mean. However this video specifically is about teenage women. When you bring up something other than that it kinda takes away from the conversation at hand. You mean well, my suggestion is to try to sympathize and fully listen to the ladies testimonials. THEN, if you would like that to be discussed then bring it up outside of the video talking about teenage girls so it doesn't seem like you are trying to point the attention in your direction. That was a lot. Um... This video isn't about teenage guys and that ok. 😌 Just listen.

Now, to be considered desirable by a lot of people, it's either be healthily thin or thick. And that's not the only beauty standard. It takes into account body type, facial features, skin, hair, height, and so many other things. Also, being thin is unrealistic for some people, as some weight gain is genetic, some is from medical conditions and diseases that can't be changed, treated, or cured.

I don’t really like it, but it never gave me mental health issues because I know it comes from a good place. My family has a history of diabetes, so I understand why my mom harps on my body. This is why you need to know your kids and talk to them about how they feel when you say certain things. Some kids don’t mind that much, and for other kids, it could ruin them. I hope that girl can stand up to her parents and let them know how they’re affecting her.

Teens! Please do what makes you happy, I'm 23 now and I regret not doing things I should have. At 23 you will feel really old and its like you missed so many things and you feel like your life is not going anywhere, You will really miss your youth. You know when you reach your 20's, it's like welcome to the world. If only I enjoyed my teenage life, I probably will not feel like this. It's a terrible feeling having regrets. Time is really precious so make the most of it.

I’m 15 and i really needed this because lately i’ve been feeling so hopeless and sad. I’ve been dealing with mental health issues since I was about 9-10 years old due to some traumatic experiences. I was getting better but now I’m back to feeling worthless, ugly, not good enough, and I’ve just lost motivation. everyone thinks i’m happy since I have straight As and I’m a person that hates opening up because i feel selfish. I’ve never felt so ugly but hearing some of this makes me feel somewhat better. I’m just so tired but I have some hope that things will get better.

I was always the “supportive” or “smart” person in my friend group. I would always keep everyone from fighting and make sure everyone was happy. I can’t really say the same about myself though. I was taking all my focus on other people’s problems and just putting on the side. But I was so insecure about my body, or the way that I talk.

I think a big issue that society doesn’t really talk about enough is that parent’s comments truly hurt more than anyone else’s comments. You always want your parents to say “it’s okay” or something else that will give you comfort. I hope society can learn that soon.

it's okay to cry, it's healthier to express your emotions rather than repressing them. I'm sorry your mum isn't more supportive of you, try not to listen to what she says, maybe communicating to her that what she says hurts your feelings could help. if it's any consolation you're not alone, and many people's relationships with their mothers improve as they get older but even if that doesn't happen you will meet many people who care about you and love you for who you are

my story, if anyone wants to hear it: almost exactly like 6:12. i’m the good girl, yet i suffer from anxiety because of the complications of my parents divorce. i’ve recently overcome the fact that my mother cheated on my dad with my music teacher, something i would’ve never thought my mom, nor my favorite teacher, was capable of. i always seem second best to my best friends or like i never fit in anywhere. i asked the people in my friend group why they never choose me, and turns out i’m “too pretty” or “too good” at whatever it is. i deal with all of this because my school is so small there is barely anyone else. they also don’t tell me things because i’m “too innocent” and i wouldn’t understand. and so i feel like i can’t tell them anything because no matter how much i ask them to confide in me, it’s always in someone else. i’m 14

nah keeping a diary is great because it can help you process your emotions and understand yourself better, and it's always, always better to let out your thoughts and feelings rather than keeping them bottled up. I think journaling is becoming more popular as well as people recommend it as a form of self care/for mental health. who cares if people laugh tbh, as long as it's helping you that's what matters most :)
