@Rainer Drexler Conscript service to ones Armed Forces builds character for young adults. I think Swizerland, Finland and Italy still have some form of conscript service for aged 18 ? Todays youth would benifit from this, give them confidence.

joining the IDF was one of the best things that happened to me, as a woman and as an Israeli. First, you meet many of friends, you eat with them., sleep with them, hurt with them and cry with them. It's a friendship for a lifetime. You learn how to behave, you learn to never give up, you learn that even if you're having the worst day, it will pass. I think that's a huge part of why Israeli's spirit is so strong

Yes it looks like! I am in this video because as a european person traveling in India I met many people from Israel and always felt very curious about their culture. I admire that indeed you have like... Some special energy of companionship and celebrating life. And indeed you dont crack easily, I can see that not giving up optimism. I always wonder if you are all like that because of the army years, because you need to focus powerfully on the friendships and beauty of life.

@@Agape122 Most of us are like this. We grow up in wars so we have to be strong. Life can be short and we know that. We have to LIVE. There is something very powerful about the fact that most of Israelis have lost someone in a war. I, myself have family members who died protecting our country. each year is a survival routine. People fought and bled for this land so we are grateful and we will never forget them.

Interesting. After returning to Israel after 30+ years I had many conversations with women soldiers who were pleased to be in combat units. I questioned them . Every young woman I asked said the same thing. We want to serve in combat units. We want to prove we are equal to our male counterparts... Praying for peace always...
