You don't have to spend time walking a bunny twice a day, or take them to the bark park or play dates, or give them baths or take them to the groomer. They don't bark and annoy neighbors. They're fastidious and toilet trainable. She invested a lot of time earning his trust, but I don't think it's the same as for a dog.

I feel your pain my friend. I lost my sweet boy just over a year ago and the heartache still hasn't gone away. When I reminisce about him and think about his antics, his joy and his love I always end up smiling and being grateful for the time I had with him. He was someone's "trash", but he was my TREASURE. Who knows, maybe our boys are doing binkies and zoomies together over the RBB. 🙂✌️

I had a rabbit called Arrow, he was mostly an angry boy, most of my family struggled to pick him up or pet him but not me. He died of cancer too young 😞 Some years later my family had a rabbit that was real smart. One evening I was watching TV and he was outside in his mostly wire run, he was running back and forth but kicking the wooden end board to make a noise. There was a fox looking at him that he needed me to scare off!

I live almost next to my two youngest grandchildrens school and my last rabbit would sit on the flat top of the front garden wall eagerly anticipating home time. I swear she made friends with every child and every parent leaving that school. Every school afternoon all the children would rush out of the gate to be the first to reach her. She loved it and this went on for three years. Then one day she simply keeled over and died. We had had some very hot days and despite every effort to keep her cool she would thump violently to be allowed out to greet the children. I believe it was her undoing. One hot morning I went out with some fresh green veg and she seemed fine. One hour later when I went out to her again she had passed away. I will never forget that afternoon when all the children came rushing out and she wasn't there. I had to take my two grandchildren aside and gently explain. As soon as they started crying the older children at the gate realised and they too were very upset. The word spread very quickly and the street was full of crying children, parents and grandparents. I cannot get that day out of my mind. That was four years ago and despite always having pet rabbits I haven't had one since. I couldn't bear to go through that again. If you have never had a rabbit as a pet you interacted with then you will not understand what loving, intelligent animals they are. There is no such thing as 'it's only a rabbit!'

They truly are the most loving and caring little animals, I am always astonished by the intelligence and love that my little guy gives every moment of every day. I've had mine since he was a baby rescued from a neglectful farm, and he follows me around like a dog and insists on being close and 'grooming' me. So sad that rabbits are so often neglected with poor living conditions, misunderstood, and often either abandoned outside or taken to a shelter where they are often one of many already waiting for a home. Please only consider a bunny in your home if you have taken all of their care, daily cost and potential medical costs into consideration as well. They are so so loving, but also can be a handful and not all bunnies have the same temperament as shown in this video just like all other animals and humans alike. If you do have space in your home, and the time and care to give them then I'd urge adoption from a place rather than from a breeder or pet store, so many bunnies need loving homes :)

I too had 3 bunnies in my lifetime one of them lived until he was 13 ... Which is old for a bunny it broke my heart into pieces loosing him I always have my rabbits indoors they can be toilet trained they are safe from foxes and fear .. they are considered to be one of the worst abused animals as they are just kept in a hutch that they can bearly move or hop around and their owners come out twice a day to feed and change water and pet them for 5 mins ... It's not fair people .. if yr considering one please have them indoors let them roam at least one room and make it fun for them they are adorable sensitive creatures and a true blessing from god ❤️❤️❤️

My former rabbit, "Beppone" (or short "Beppo"), loved to slide over the slippery floor as if he was ice skating. Also he loved to shove the books and cds out of the shelves and then put himself in between the remaining books, to replace the fallen ones. he would eat a tiny piece of popcorn, or even gummybears! he was a little weirdo. sadly his teeth grew falsely in his mouth so he had to have surgery often, and the vet told me, he wont live as long as other bunnies, because one day he is not gonna wake up from the sedation. so one day during surgery he passed on to the other side. but i think he was very happy. his favorite was eating the celery root.

This is also a perfect example that you can have a single happy bunny who loves life if you spend time with it. In my country I get a little annoyed because the bunny community is very judgmental when it comes to bunny husbandry. It’s one way or the highway. I have a single bunny because he is not good with other rabbits, he likes to fight, but I would never go online and say that with full name, I would get the bunny police after me, getting bombarded with how horrible it is to have a single bunny. My bunny is just like this bunny, happy, healthy and cuddly.

Oreo reminds me of my Snowball, we found him as a small bunny in a movie theater parking lot. He must have escaped the home he was in and even though he was small, he must have been on his own for a while because he was a little wild. It took a while for him to calm down and when he did, he seemed to get closer to me than anyone else in the family. We live in Florida and have a fenced in large back yard in which I put chicken wire around the perimeter to allow Snowball to roam around without the concern of him getting away. He remained a bit distant, very independent but would come up to me for affection when he wanted it. Bringing him in the house at sunset was a game for him, he'd let me get close then scamper away, it usually took about 20+ minutes before he'd allow me to catch him. Snowball was a wonderful animal and I'm glad I was able to give him a home. When he passed it was incredibly difficult for me, I had a special connection to him.

Rescue Buns take alot longer to settle and bond versus a youngling you buy, they are mistrustful of humans because they remember being abandoned, but once they imprint they are the sweetest kind of pet. Very gentle and thankful you saved them.

I've had many bunnies over 30 years and let them live free but safe in my home and garden. It's so wonderful to see how much you and your husband care for Oreo giving him plenty of enrichment. Rabbits really are smart and each has their own personality. You are perfect bunny parents and it's heart warming to see. So enjoyed your video. ❤️

I absolutely love this video and adore that bunny !!! His environment is crazy awesome and thoughtfully created custom for the new family member. Good people and the only kind I surround myself with. Quote from my dad looong ago, “Never ever trust anyone who is not kind to animals.” Was that ever the best lesson and 100% factual. 👍🏼💪🏼🎉🌈❤️😎
