He said to WALK calmly since if we trip and fall, we won’t be able to help others and make things worse than before. I believe the same is true of the Nevada Highway Patrol, the Kansas Highway Patrol, the Virginia State Police and no doubt a number of other state agencies. Seems dangerous I agree.

A few Good Samaritans stopped, and a man took off his own jacket, balled it up, put it under my uncle's head, and held him until the paramedics got there, all the while telling him he wasn't alone and that everything's going to be okay. I was hit by a car at 45 mph while on my motorcycle 25 years ago in an accident. 78 yr old man said he didn't see me. Many broken bones. All my rib cage broken and collapsed. Lucky to have survived. Almost died. Never lost consciousness. That twitching is real. Involuntary. You can't control it. I think at least for me is the only way your body and brain is trying to mitigate the flood of pain.

When someone is run over or has a severe fall you are not supposed to move them until medics arrive to avoid causing permanent damage. One wrong turn of his body could be the difference between walking and never walking again. I do think someone could have talked him through until help arrived.

The emergency crew failed on this call. The stretcher transfer may have made his severely injured man condition worse. It was difficult to watch…the emergency crew took their time walking over to him, what’s the point of an emergency call if they don’t treat it as so.,,this man could have been dying. 😡

It’s just a bit difficult to see because of the «stretcher-sheet» (don’t know the English name, but my daddy and I actually made the first such one in our country back in the 70’s and they’ve been in production ever since in the company he worked for), but it is there (and so it of course should be)! Anyways, except for that detail, this was painful to see! Hope he wasn’t too seriously hurt, but looking at the car, he may be, he probably went airborn after his head cracked the windshield… 😢

@rustyblade5845, at first seeing him "crumpled" like an "injured insect" I was surprised to suddenly see him flat on his back and then they just roll him on his side to put that lift tarp under him and he seems to be coughing on blood as they're lifting him and putting him on the stretcher etc. I'm not a medic & never handled someone like that but it seems awfully "rough" when thinking about the potential for spinal/cervical injuries and the potential for internal bleeding....

Nice to see our firefighters leisurely walking to help a person who just got run over.

They handled that poor guy like a sack of potatoes while she put on the crocodile tears for sympathy.

This story hit me so wrong in so many ways it just from what I can see ppl have lost their humanity, its sad.

Why were people standing there filming him before EMS arrived? Nobody offering to cover him in the obviously cold weather, no one comforting him. WTF is wrong with people? So many have lost their humanity.

Exactly, WTH is wrong with people for not offering this man some kind comfort kneeling next to him letting him know help is on the way, the emergency crew was not any better. They did a painful stretcher transfer and they took their time walking over to this severely injured man as if it was a NON Emergency. 😡

@@neinei5558 It just seems there's more to this story. If he was behaving in a threatening manner, she may have panicked or reacted out of fear and just needed to get away. I'm just wondering, I'm not stating. Man vs woman, or woman vs man are not always equal.. to respond to your Q, if it was the man who ran over the woman, well, she'd not have been an equivalent threat to him, this would make his action more extreme. Don't get me wrong, this was horrific and she is being held to account, which is just.

They came from a hotel, she's probably fucking around on her husband and now she's upset because her shit is all over the news, now she'll call her husband to come bail her out and if he's smart he would leave her ass in jail, that's if she's actually married, them being at a hotel makes you think though

not when theres another 5 hours left on shift...... deff a sad sight seeing these emergency calls nowadays. phoned 911 for a over dosed few weeks ago and the guy was draggin his fat feet while budy was turning blue, didnt even try to jog

They are not medical professionals, they would have checked he was breathing freely, not blood flowing. Moving him may paralyse him. They will be monitoring until the ambulance arrives.
