Mam this made me think What if her keys drop like what would happen thank god shes calm and fast.

This happened to me when I was 15 on holiday with my family in spain. I was going from the pool back up to our apartment (parents and siblings were by the pool). I remember this guy knocking on one of the apartments but when he noticed me he gave me a really weird look that put me on edge and started to follow me. I wasn’t calm like this lady and ran to my apartment and slammed the door in his face. He was just outside knocking and saying ‘Hola! hola!’ I shouted for my dad over the balcony and that scared him off. Never did find the bastard but he was clearly a local looking for girls going back to their rooms.

A complex I lived at had the doors open during the day but at night it was locked and also hour responsibility to lock it behind you when you came in no one without a key or a guest without someone to let them wasn't allowed in the complex. The next place same rule but the tenants would never lock the door because they had people that weren't on lease living there as well. The keys to apartment could be copied but to the locked doors could not be, if you weren't on the lease you only had 1 key to enter.

This happened to my sister and elderly mom. A guy followed them inside the building and trailed. Thankfully, my sister had the forethought to stop and knock at a neighbor’s door instead and started calling out a man’s name to open the door. The guy walked past them, down the stairs and out of the building.

Tip to all my strangers.. 1. Be in prayer and guy was gonna shot someone in front of a store, me and my sister prayed and he went away but didn't even hear us or see us. One thing I noticed that makes this even more terrifying, is that as he was running towards her door, he purposefully stuck his foot forward towards the side of the door that was closing, meaning he was completely planning on getting in and had probably done stuff like this before. I'm so glad that woman was able to safely get into her apartment.

Thank goodness she opened the door in the nick of time! Blessed her. I recently installed a digital door lock. In times of emergency I won't have to fumble with my housekey. And by using my thumbprint, numeric passcode or an access card, opens my door way quicker.

This is why all apartments should have a security officer, or someone to guard the door and maintain entry. If you aren't willing to do that in order to protect your own tenants, then you don't deserve to manage an entire complex of people.

Gosh this is like every women's worst nightmare. That's why every time I try to open my door as fast as I can to train myself lol Edit: To all the people saying "It's everyone's fear/why just woman" yeah it probably can happen to men but the truth is this thing mostly happens to woman. Have any of you heard a man getting followed to his home and then getting chased to his apartment door because he was about to get killed/robbed/raped by them. I watch things like this so that I know what to do if something like this ever happens to me. I’m pretty big on watching informative videos on how to protect myself in case someone tries something.

What I like is she was mindful of her surroundings, spotting him out of the corner of her eye 👁️👀 earlier, when she entered the building he was just a step behind, yet she kept calm, cool, and focused, if she had lost her composure for a spell and panicked, it could've made her his next victim, thankfully she's alive and well to share her story.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. I live in a major city, Atlanta, and I've come to realize when someone kinda ragtaggy or thuggish says, "Hey, Miss," or "Excuse me, Miss," probably nothing good will come from that conversation. I hate to stereotype or judge, but I'd rather hurt someone's feelings for a couple minutes (if there was no ill or perverted intent) by ignoring and hustling faster than be taken advantage of in some way or hurt/killed. Cities full of degenerates turn a decent person into a stone cold calloused bee, and that's a shame.
