I've chosen to be single since the age of 32. I'm now 68. I chose to be single because every relationship I had been in made a fool of me. These years of being single have been the best in my life. I've raised a daughter who has gone on to give me 4 grandchildren who love me very much. I have gotten a master's degree that gave me good earning power. I have met all kinds of interesting people. I help lonely people on a daily basis. I have gotten to know and love God. I couldn't ask for more. As a single person, I have peace. I have wonderful friends and family and none of the strife and stress I had when I was in relationships with men. Being single was difficult and lonely and terribly sexless at first, but I got used to it and now enjoy my peaceful single life very much. It was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Even if someone you seem to be connecting with sounds legitimate, always do a background check. I think it's wise to hire a PI if things get serious because you never know who you're dealing with. Actually, whenever there's talk about financial situations (inordinate or not), if things are moving too fast like there was with this one, it's a sign things are looking bad so time to bail out. In this case, this man never went into depth about speaking about himself, and all the lovely-dovey stuff coming from him was too overpowering for it to be real. Too bad she ignored that. What's wrong with winging it alone anyway? You might be better off.

Since childhood I have been thinking (and even asking my parents) - in the fairytales, all the struggle happens before the wedding, then there is the wedding and the narratios has it “and they have lived happily ever after”. So my courious question has always been “how did they do it, that happily ever after”. Because from the fairytales it looks like that just naturally happens without any effort needed. 😮

Well I have seen a story where woman with 2 kids moved a man into her house straight after he got of the train on their first date. He left her with a mount of debt and moved on to the next woman to scam. He also pretended to be rich and waiting on a big pay out 🤣 and the other women were smart not to move him in because the reporter tracked him down living in a homeless shelter 🤣

What I’m curious to know is, why aren’t they able to get their money back? Couldn’t they investigate where the funds went and follow the paper trail to get some of it back? If he had any properties, sell them to give these people their money back? There should be a rule that if they scam you, you have a right to go after their assets. Freeze their accounts, if they had any.
