One thing I like about JJ is she never looks down on anybody's job/career. To her there's "working" and "not working" and that's it. If someone says they were working at Lowe's or Subway or something like that she's just as OK with that as she is any other job.

I hate that we live in a culture that makes a work from home mom look as if she’s living in the lap of luxury and contributing nothing to the household. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, errands, and non-stop around the clock care deemed meaningless because no money is attached. Ridiculous! A stay at home mom is worth 150,000 a year in services with no sick days, she works on vacations if she’s lucky enough to get one, no time off, no bonuses, no applause for her cooking, and very little sleep. My mother says “Men retire and women die” - a woman’s work is never done - if she works outside the home, then someone else is in charge of her children for a fee and in most cases, she still has to do all the house work and meal preparations. Not thrilled with JJ line of questioning on this one. Can you tell? Lol

I don't know if there's a set dollar amount that could represent what a stay at home mom does though...I think it probably varies household to household because let's face it, not all parents are good parents. But yes...its a very difficult, stressful and thankless job. I agree with JJ that she's not entitled to her money back, but her line of questioning was definitely rough. Maybe even a bit biased as she can't stand people who don't work...especially if they collect disability and/or welfare. I agree with all her points on that topic every time she speaks on it. This is unfortunately why people need to be legally married if they’re going to play house. Divorce would have forced them to split the debts and the assets or settle around it. They acted like they were married.. house together, baby together, credit card together.. and now that they dislike each other no one wants to take responsibility for any debts incurred. Legally he might not have to do anything.. but he knows damn well he helped pick the color of appliances alongside her.

True...but the problem is: these young ones play house for ten years and don't get married!! A marriage certificate is a legal document that would easily help a judge split the assets. These young dumb kids don't get married but live together for 7 years and it causes a headache to the legal system because there is no contract like a marriage certificate when they split. I think Judy is more frustrated that these kids don't get married first and then move in together. They play house and then expect the Courts to sort out their mess when they split with no legal paperwork!
