@dangboof Sorry but I don't think my siblings or I deserve to be singled out and tattooed, so that the world would know we were physically abused as children and could decide how to treat/view us based on how they think we might *possibly* behave. Yeah some abused go on to abuse others and others, like my siblings and myself, promised, as children, that we would never ever do to any child what was being done to us and none of us has. We are, all 6 of us, very anti corporal punishment. We remember how horrible it was and how the primary emotion associated with our father was fear, and at times, hatred. My father, unlike most physical abusers, underwent a drastic change and stopped any and all types physical "punishment" when I was 14 yrs old. That's how old I was when I ran out of the house, in the middle of the night, bare feet and just wearing shorts and a T-shirt, when he went to the back to get a leather razor strop to punish me for secretely hanging out with a classmate he didn't approve of (he didn't approve because she was being raised by a "single" mother - a widow - who allowed her daughter to wear some make-up). I was gone for 2 yrs and my father did a lot of soul searching while I was gone. Better late than never. I heard, from my mother and siblings, that he shed a lot of tears, blamed himself, and promised to change after I ran away and he did. We eventually had a good and loving relationship but it took a lot of years.

Yes. It’s called PTSD. I know from experience. Your body is reliving the event and thinks it is in danger again. You experience flashbacks. A lot of prolonged childhood abuse causes what is called Complex PTSD.

She did try to take her life, and that incident was used by God for a woman to find her, which ended up in the investigation/arrest/jailing of Joe and Evangeline Combs.

stop getting salt in your panties it was a multi million dollar settlement. And it would have been enough if she wouldn’t have been taken advantage of yet again with people “borrowing” from her. And she does want the money, correction needs the money. She is struggling bad, she had a go fund me -as her roof is leaking and has no money to repair it. Her house doesn’t have siding on it. Rain water is leaking through her roof into her home. Apparently her fridge broke, etc She needs help, she is hoping something big will also come from her going public again.

I feel so bad for her , I can see how traumatized and scared she is , she looks frightened and shamed for things that those cruel people have done to her , I hope she is doing better now and I wish the best for her , hopefully she has the help that she needs. @@telsclark They started the adoption process but failed to finalize it. They had her in their possession and the adoption agency failed to follow through. So Elsa (her birth name) was not legally adopted, she slipped through a crack. The "adopted" abusers changed her name but she changed it back after she was freed from them.

This...hurts physically, mentally, emotionally. It hurts knowing people think this is okay. Knowing people think this is logical. I've gone through sexual assault and physical abuse. It is the most terrifying and confusing thing ever. This lady is so strong. So, so strong.

How sad. This is absolutely horrible. I just want to hug her.

I remember my mom hit me so hard my front teeth became loose for a while. I am glad they didn't fall. Another time my jaw became dislocated. I feel her pain, I hope she can get the help and therapy she needs in order to live her life like she was supposed to.
