@GraveUypo not true. My brother's skull got broken at work. It was easily the most horrifying thing I've ever seen. Anyway... the doctor said that if his skull didn't break, he would have died from brain trauma. So, skulls have quite a bit of give.

I just realized how lucky Wolverine was that Blob fell backward into the ropes, and not forward to land on top of Wolverine... That would be seriously embarrassing to be trapped under the Blob until he woke back up.

I think the best part is that they made it entirely believable that Blob could be a legitimate opponent for Wolverine - which he was in the comics - versus just being grotesquely fat man.

@@benji285 I think it depended on who was doing the writing. During most of Claremont's run, the claws couldn't cut Blob. Something about his skin being extra tough and soft/squishy so he'd absorb the blow instead of being cut.

For anyone wondering, they do indeed make stretchers for guys Blob's size. We once had a guy who weighed 840lbs come into my ER and, while not easy, we got him onto a bed. And he came in by ambulance.

But all joking aside I recall years ago a medical professional said with obseity becoming more of a problem some people are too big to fit into current medical devices so we will have to start making larger devices (unless people stop becoming so overweight).

As someone who used to be quite large and was insecure about it. I find this scene quite positive. His size is played for laughs, sure, but he's shown as still being a good fighter on top of being super-durable. And his character is more than just "lol he's fat". If you'd done HALF the shit his team did and then had to live with it? You'd want some kind of coping tool too!

He's a fine 'big guy' actor. I think he would make a great replacement for Ray Stevenson in Ashoka!

I know it's the entire joke, but I love how Logan made three remarks about the guy's weight (fat-Fred, tattoo, 'slim') -- but it was something he said correctly that Fred misheard which sent the guy over the edge.

My absolute favorite scene in X-Men Origins!

Loved the part where Blob got stunned after head butting Wolverine. Reminds me of the Bugs Bunny cartoon where Crusher was stunned after hitting the door and can picture Blob saying "Duh, just passing by" as he staggers around. 😆

His head is weaker than the rest of his body. But, he has a lot of durability otherwise and can manipulate his own gravity field to make himself nearly immovable

And even though it was a terrible excuse for Deadpool, I absolutely loved the concept of this movie's Weapon 11... just the idea of a Frankenstein's Monster of a Mutan was so awesome. It just sucks that instead of having it be a new character all together, they tried to pass it off as the Merc with a Mouth.

I love this movie too. The dynamic between Logan and Victor was perfect. In my head canon Weapon 11 is a clone and the real Wade Wilson is out there waiting to become Deadpool. Since Logan, we know that the mutants that Stryker recruited were all cloned anyway, it fits.

I’d argue that movies like this one were always good, folks just couldn’t appreciate them at the time because they wanted something like “Infinity War”. The portrayal of Deadpool scarred this movie beyond recovery. Especially with Deadpool being at the end of the movie, it’s what you’re left with to remember.
