However, things will take an unexpected turn when a cryptic woman asks him to transport the young mutant girl, Laura. A better future lies past the Canadian borders for the unaccompanied teenager, but the government is unwilling to let go of its asset so easily. Horrible acting. Just a film about being old, sad, and being depressing.
Stephen Merchant is an absolutely brilliant actor and did so much for this movie. We've seen the "real" logan so many times in the x-men movies but Stephen's Caliban is just so ridiculously REAL. I think he and Hugh did an awesome job with this scene together. I only wish there was more of Caliban's character in this movie and future movies.

I think it’s something you expect of anyone older, to need glasses, but it’s something you’d never expect of Logan. One of the things I liked about these movie is the relationship Logan and Caliban, they do care about each other but theirs is lot friction between them. The Idea I got that their not necessarily friends, but they respect and admire each other and that their relationship was born out convenience and necessity for the sake survival and mutual interests. They did not like each other do to clashing natures and pasts, but warmed toward one another and they are loyal by a sense of comradeship and mutant solidarity, as well shared tragedy. More like kindred spirits than friends.

The way he slapped the cup out if his hand and said "Stay out of my sh!t" made me chuckle because Logan is secretive a lot. Same thing for Charles and Magnito.
In past X-men, caliban was depicted as this nasty, rodent-like person with no common decency or respect but with the tragedies of late you seem him evolve into a moral compass for Logan being that he, Logan and Charles are probably the last living mutants.

YOU'LL ALWAYS BE THEE BEST,LOGAN!!!!...
They took one of the dumbest things in past X-Men being the Adamantium bullet and made it work without trying, thats skill and why this movie for me is a classic, barely being ten years old and still fantastic.
The Adamantium was poisoning Logan, and because his healing factor was on constantly healing him, it broke. Same thing happens to people with diabetes. Their organ gets exhausted and tired of producing insulin and just gives up.
I really liked how this scene just told pretty much everything that was going on with Logan: Eyesight problems, Healing Factor failings, drinking too much, trouble with sleeping, not willing to talk about things. You'd think after hearing just a few issues with him Logan would have knocked that mug away seconds earlier. 😊 Brilliant scene. Thanks.

I’m excited for Deadpool 3.
Throughout all of these movies; most of the people I know refused to confront the fact that Logan is a massive POS with zero accountability. But this movie *really* changed their tone. There are a lot of truths that he needed to face. But the writing up until now made it seem like everyone else was being harsh and he was just fine.
Such a masterpiece movie, sad and beautiful.
"It wasn't as weird, it had a normal voice"

Hes done you again steve, play a record!
Like Nosferatu 😂😂
Something that kept screaming to me in this film is the fact that despite everyone trying to tell Logan he's changed and he's no longer the mutant hero he once was, he's wallowing in pain and anguish. Literal pain and anguish both physically and mentally. Centuries of war, carnage, and death all rolled tightly into that thick head of his. Add that to the fact that the Adamantium in his body is killing him from the inside out, making it literally impossible for his body to heal fast enough to stop him from aging, and even worse, stopping wounds from healing, meaning he knows he is standing at death's door. And the truth of it all is that he doesn't care. He's given up. He's not interested in fighting anymore. All of the heroics, all of the fighting, they don't matter to him anymore. He's not Logan or The Wolverine anymore. He's James Howlett, cab driver, an old man waiting to die.
