    Thank you for the love brother! People tend to forget trappers & old timer hunters would typically only hunt with .22 because of the affordability of the round itself. Just gotta be very accurate if you’re hunting black bear or moose due to their skull thickness, usually a shot placement within the soft tissue of the ear will send the round into the brain cavity. God Bless!

    This young man is the toughest man l know personally other than my good friend Tim Wells. Tim took a huge black wolf with me this season with his bow. I have spent cold snowy nights in a blind with this young man calling wolves and sharing hunting stories. Minus 30 degree mummy bags sure helped lol. Great job man, good on you. You'd better get busy, and start slocking as Tim would say. Congrats my friend.

    Holy Crap. Just came across this video and seen it was from Red lake so decided to watch and the whole time I was thinking about when I came up there to hunt. Looked down to see the comments and there your ass is. LOL LOL And while I was watching the video the whole time I was thinking about how I wished I had returned for a black wolf hunt. Ha Ha.. Hope your doing well.

    @@TheRaghorn Hey, Reginald, it's been a long time. We are doing great and killing shit left and right lol. Hopefully you are keeping healthy. Anytime you want a black wolf, let me know. Check out the rest of this young man's blog. He is a good student and is hungry to learn. Take man, Franklin and Pattie.

    @@PatterningNature Sure is small, and even a smaller world when it comes to hinest outfitters like Frankin. I sure would love a nice black wolf but I have 2 more years before Canada will alow me to return. 8 years ago it was big mess at the border and they questioned us for 9 hours and I told them I had never been arrested, but then they learned that when I was 18 years old, I was arrested for peeing on the sidewalk at 1am. Heck that was 50 years ago and I had forgot. I cant even remember my 4 ex wives names all the time. LOL So when I am allowed back, I have to pay a 250 dollar fee to enter. People get less for killing someone here in the US. LOL.

    greetings from the appallachian mountains north east kentucky, that is one awesome wolf, beautiful black fur and BIG too, i wish we had wolf up here, plenty of coyotes an mt lions & black bear instead, but hey brother that was an awesome hunt, great shot by the way! 22's never seem to be a disapointment with head shots, i took plenty small to medium predators with 22,

    No wolves but mountain lions!!!!!! Rumors have it we have big cats here in NW Ontario that were pushed here from forest fires... can't say I've observed any myself, but my old guide friend Franklin has seen 5 of them, one on his driveway! I appreciate you stopping by & leaving a comment my friend, thank you & much love!!!! Stay safe out there!

    Oh goodness, this Timber Wolf was almost 9 feet in length, nose to tail (skinned out). If I were to stand beside him & he was standing on all 4 legs, he was about 30 inches shoulder height. 116 pounds total - I thought he would have been heavier, but the winter pelt was full & beautiful so it looked like he was a lot bigger weight wise! With the stretch it was longer - but roughly 7ish feet in length nose to tail standing on all 4 legs. Just a monster roughing it down a ridge in -26 northern winter - it is such an insane experience to see from 25 or so yards away lol@@bradwall2544

  • @PatterningNature

    wonder where you hit him ??

  • @PatterningNature

    @PatterningNature

    6 ай бұрын

    Right above his right eye - If Wolves had eyebrows, thats the general area where I hit him. When Franklin & I skinned him out we found the impact of where the .22 went in but there was no exit from what we could tell. I still wonder how he ran 200 yards towards the bait/bush THEN dropped because I had hit a Deer in the head before & it dropped instantly. Then again I've seen a Wolf get hit with a 308 right in the heart & still run 125 yards through thick bush - They are extremely resilient critters.
