The reason one has never heard of it, is the school system. And what is being taught about the history of thze world. Government, that is.
I was in Capetown in 1983, I know about being kicked off the 1st class train to 3rd class. And I'm not black, just brown skin. Apartheid was real.
This was a great video! I actually did know the material, and recalled even a bit more as the game show style pause ended. This was absolutely a necessary service and should be viewed in the millions. Most people do now know anything about that era, or what it meant for the people living through it.
hahahaa im a South African, though this explanation is shallow compared to real life back then, it sure is HILARIOUS...
I'm proudly south African.
very good video. well done
omg that hair girlll
honestly not even south african schools teach enough about apartheid. if it wasn't for my parents i wouldn't understand how it was.
This has 11,000 views 🤦🏾♀️. It’s not that the information is withheld, we just don’t see it
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, my sister.
And yet the ANC was way more violent than the NP.....

It's not weird at all. More of this even in a form of comic relief is needed cause having worked in the US, the ignorance and lack of knowledge 👀

@Jan Pearson that would be great. especially for black people.
They do teach this in Latin America!!
Sounds a lot like what's happening today to the Palestinians at the hands of Israel
She is so pretty
I'm woke AF
I have heard human type like beings, using the words white and black all the time, referring to different kind of beings. But, does one really know what it means? And why it is still being used, in an incorrect manner? Inform me please, who actually came up with that. Since thze 'B', in BET is for Black, i presume one also knows who was the first one to introduce and decide to use that.
they say it so wrong
While this is a good introduction It needed more details.
A big difference between Africans and African Americans it's like comparing apples as oranges!

Dillon Kilian not really maybe as far as some historical facts but the colonial histories and many of these same tactics were used in other parts of the world by Europeans as well where do you think they got the inspiration from
Did you guys know that all the rules and laws that were forcefully inforced in South Africa also affected the blacks in Namibia the same way it did to the the blacks in South Africa, more then one county in the world faced Apartheid... Because Namibia was under South African rule... Woke Af yet

Namibia was South West Africa then, and under colonial rule by South Africa.
She needs to go away and do some research if she thinks Jim Crow ended in the 50s
How's that Apartheid doing now? Glad it's gone......but now that it's gone...how's South Aftica coming along. It's been 25 years... that's like... barely just yesterday...

race and inequality is barely ever talked about. But that doesn't mean it doesn't exist (highly evident economic side effects). Everybody just pretends we all love each other. lol to give you an idea...i remember in high school(5 years ago) when ever my friends and i wanted a spot to sit and it just so happened that white students were sitting there, we already knew that was now our spot😂. All we had to do is sit next to them and they would flee from us like we are dogs with rabbies.
Peoplewill believe anything
Why do americans pronounce apartheid weirdly

Gerhard Iileka I have not heard about Namibia at all, its like we didn’t go thru that, maybe they should do more research before trying to wake everyone
Chaka Zulu murdered all the British soldiers while they were sleeping referred to as the Nightingale and this caused the war between the Blacks and Whites in South Africa. Know your history not what you read in modern history books,
