Witnessing the Pain Body & What It Can Teach Us

Kim shares that the pain-body may have something to teach us, and by becoming aware of it we can receive its message and wisdom instead of striving for the pain-body to disappear. Subscribe to find greater awareness in life: bit.ly/EckhartYT

At the core of his teachings lies the transformation of individual and collective human consciousness - a global spiritual awakening.
Eckhart Tolle is the author of The Power of Now, a #1 New York Times Bestseller, which has been translated into 32 languages and become one of the most influential spiritual books of our time.
In his most recent book, A New Earth, he shows how transcending our ego-based state of consciousness is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to ending conflict and suffering throughout the world.

Gosh, you may not have experience with highly delusional souls, residing in human bodies, who feel deeply, but choose to interpret these feelings in ways that you may despise and walk away from. The mind can be a guide into shadow.

Witnessing the pain body and the conditioned self as the "observer" or "awareness" is the key to letting it go. The awareness is what allows you to let it go. It is not who you are. It is simply a conditioned pattern rising to the surface, that needs to be observed with presence and awareness. The ego and pain body does not want to be observed, but observing it and letting it go is the key. When you choose to bring your awareness to it, this allows you to transform these conditioned patterns into to presence and inner-peace. Thanks you as always Eckhart, and Kim. :) Much Love. 🙏

@Francis Trach. To me, the quality in me that allows me to let go of suffering and pain, is the affinity within my heart for myself. Without that, my awareness can be as large as an elephant, but it wouldn't serve me to let go, see what I mean? To me, awareness is serving me when love is present in the room, unconditional.

@@ehms430 I can comment from my experience. Sometimes I can be with it and being with it, it passes quickly. Other times it's like venom that's stuck in my body and it needs to come out. I think creativity is a massive part of healing. Sometimes I cry whilst I dance when nothing else works. Sometimes screaming into my pillow and connecting with my pain body in a way I am here with it, and allowing it to pass. I feel my pain body in my back, my throat, my face, head, jaw. To be witness to it doesn't always work. Sometimes I sneeze no joke it passes through me. I see everything as energy. And certain things don't always work. We are our own Healer, psychologists. I think it's subjective, to each person. From knowing my own pain body, and things that can trigger it. Life moving too fast i hear what it has to say. I think it would stop all conflicts if people dealt with this and be curious about who we are being at certain times. So I don't think it's healthy to repress or not let it out. Some people do but then I would think its whether someone is identified to it or not.

I’ve been discussing this recently on my channel. I have all the tools but I continue to get lost in the pain body and I feel it’s a continuous life lesson. The concepts help so much and understanding the theory is so beneficial when you get lost in mind and programming. It is a reminder to return to the nothingness from which I was created. Take a deep breath and enjoy the pathless path. Forgive yourself and others and remember love.

In many ways the pain body is our shadow. Bits of us we pushed away projected outside onto people, things and situations. Of course we can worship or despise our shadow. Vipassana meditation (2500 years old) is based on experiencing sensations with equanimity as they surface ( the pain body)

And than? Do you stop the pain-body talking? Or do you shift into the joy body? This is a subject that isn't addressed much, but we're at times creating shadow parts in us that become entities, with a voice growing stronger every time we feed them. That inner creation isn't very far from the existence of entities present out there, in the astral world. And when these external entities resonate with one's inner shadow part.... bingo... there's attraction. It can speaking through you.

It's a lot less pretty when you finally comfortably distance yourself from that state and then it starts spewing out of everyone else and nothing you can say will help. So say nothing and smile. I’m getting better at been present and in the moment even when I’m angry or frustrated or whatever. I can still bring consciousness to it even if I’m overwhelmed with emotion. So with more practice I think I’ll be able to transmute the pain body to find peace quicker and eventually aiming so that peace is my permanent state. After a few years of rapping my head around (no pun intended) what the ego and the pain body are and finding the separation to be able to witness them, I’ve realised it’s a skill like any other and takes practice. I wonder how well I’ll be doing in reactive situations a year or two from now, whatever the outcome I’m certain it will be done in the here and now. The eternal present moment 🙏🏻 Thanks Kim great vid love 💕

I think if we really wanted to be free or enlightened, we would be. I've faced it within myself, the feeling that "I don't want to let go of that, I don't want to open that up". But it's on these subconscious levels that pop up very slowly and seldom. So I can be talking about how I want to be free all I want, but the reality is, there are still many many levels on which I just don't want to. And that's what's holding me back. IT takes time to peel those layers off like an onion. There might not even be enough of time to get through everything in this lifetime.

It was something that needed to be done in that moment. 2 days later, while still saying “nup” I was walking and my attention was pulled to all the flowers. The flowers had this deep presence I can’t explain. I realised it was satori. I wasn’t looking for it, I wasn’t looking for anything while telling myself “nup”. I just wanted the pain to stop and “nup” seemed to work in that moment.

As I watched this and remembered my time with Kim last year at Omega and the exercise class that hurt so good- I experienced a concept. The concept was..."Eckhart's better half." It may be unenlightened, but I'm keeping it.

Hahaha, yes, that's such a human thing, wanting to have the same experience. It reminds me of a postcard I found in Britain, with an illustration of a woman sitting in a lotus position, with a text balloon saying "Hurry up, peace of mind, I haven't got all day!" It's one of my favorites.

Yep, none of this healing work happens over night. It's frustrating at times, dealing with all these new ideas. I am wanting to zoom into the future, but learning to TRUST and accept what is has it's beauty.

Hello 👋 Thank you so much for this information. I had a spiritual awakening this year and I had a shift of energy change in late August. I honestly had no idea about the pain body till Eckhart. Very grateful for him explaining it in his book New Earth. I am not thinking but out of no where I feel the pain body come up either from an old injury or another pain body. Is that normal? And how to deal with a heavy pain body of someone else? Thank you so much 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼 I really appreciate it thank you 🙏🏼
