Is My Pain Body Dissolved or Dormant?

Kim discusses how the notion of wanting your pain-body gone is a statement of the ego, explaining that when one's pain-body is dissolved, our work continues to heal the collective unconsciousness and the pain-bodies of others.

Eckhart Tolle is widely recognized as one of the most original and inspiring spiritual teachers of our time. He travels and teaches throughout the world.
Eckhart is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition, but excludes none. His profound yet simple and practical teachings have helped thousands of people find inner peace, healing and greater fulfillment in their lives. At the core of his teachings lies the transformation of individual and collective human consciousness - a global spiritual awakening.
Eckhart Tolle is the author of The Power of Now, a #1 New York Times Bestseller, which has been translated into 32 languages and become one of the most influential spiritual books of our time.
In his most recent book, A New Earth, he shows how transcending our ego-based state of consciousness is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to ending conflict and suffering throughout the world.

So to sum up: If you find that you're still being triggered by certain people or situations, your pain-body hasn't yet been fully dissolved. No judgment there, that's the case for most people (myself included) :-)

I find that often with spiritual/ non dual etc channels on KZread there is a real sense of synchronicity - Teachings seem to come along when needed. I feel as though I have been doing well and making good progress for weeks and then Friday Triggered badly. I'm just pain body at the moment it feels like. Then this morning a notification on my phone for this video! Many thanks!!

The trees, the animals, the rocks, the people, the clouds, the stars... thoughts, opinions, emotions, feelings, bodily sensations (pain and pleasure), numbness/depression, words and actions of yourself and others, beliefs, expectations, ideas, peace, memories, predictions..... Something that’s helped me is to notice that ALL of these things are not ME! I see all things that appear before me, thoughts and feelings are all like different objects on a painting. Yet YOU are not actually in the painting. You’re just observing it. You’re sense of self is beyond this experience. Focus on trying to locate where the mind is. Something happens. Your focus is everything. With something like pain and uncomfortableness it can be difficult to see that as a separate ‘object’, but with enough concentration, wisdom and practice/persistence you can actually make that pain whither away or at least become easy to sit with. You remain calm, like what Kim said with the angry girls pain body she was feeling. Just realize that all these things pass, so just persevere!

Great "timing". Unlike Kim, my pain body was activated by a colleague last week. Although I initially was able to "sit" with this person, as they escalated, I slowly lost "consciousness" and began to argue with them. Afterwards, I started down the road of blame and shame. "Oh, I failed. I made things worse. I made us both more unconscious. All my years of training and sitting on the mat were thrown away." Blah-Blah. I'm smiling now, in the realization of what really happened. It was a wake-up call for sure! I look forward to being more awake when my next OPPORTUNITY to practice presents itself. And if I become unconscious again, I'll pick myself up and get back on the path. Progress, not perfection!

In effect she acted as a boddhi satva and took the energy into her hara, being and accepting it along with the sufferer, and through the sharing of burden it was dissolved. An absolutely beautiful story. Thank you for sharing.

Recovery of my natural self after addiction is about feeling all my feelings. Wanting pain away by repressing my feelings make my body tense and contracted thus prone to dis-eases. And whatever I haven't dealt with consciously will come back, in this form or another.

True story. I've been suffering my whole life. Never knew what connection even felt like... Don't feel bad for me. I have my own ways of dealing with the everlasting moment.. I just wish I could feel like a 'normal' person. If that even exists. I think I've held onto this pain body of mine for too long because it's all I've ever known. I being the ego. I've had an out of body experience . Pretty life changing to say the least. You'd think it would help me but nope.... Maybe I was meant to feel the pain for others who cannot handle it? I'm not sure. Maybe you all could help me out. Keen to talk :)

The example at the cafe shows how Kim woke the young girl up. She dissolved the acting out of the pain-body, not the pain-body itself. There might be some awareness coming if the girl wonders afterwards why she was acting out.

Damn, great video. Heard something like this for the first time. I thought that I would feel the load from people in public on myself even more lately. As a result I like to remove myself from public places. Don't feel ready to help other people - it doesn't feel as if they have ever gave me too much positive things. Mostly we get negative input, why should I help them for free? That would require myself to escape from identity even more first.

thank you! this excerpt cleared up my hesitation to performing reiki. I now see i must postpone performing reiki, until i am no longer possessed by the various pain bodies carried by others. this is because, being an empath, i feel everyone's pain body wherever i go. I see that this causes me suffering, and will continue to do so until i can somehow discover some hidden secret that makes me not react negatively to another's pain body. When I'm alone, i do not generate a pain body that often. It's only around others [with their active pain bodies], do i involuntarily tense up -- as if it is my own pain. how do i not tense up? take cbd perhaps? just wanted to share this. insights welcome.

Just for short moments. Especially right during waking up or when a nap in the afternoon comes to an end. A state of consciousness where there isn't even an I which could start a thought or which could relate to anything at all. Or like superclear moments where there is absolutely no sense of time. However it's rare. But what you are referring to sounds like deep sleep.

I feel that Kim is only regurgitating Eckhart's work, but doesn't really get it per se. Just empty words. According to Kim's speech there's no end to suffering. The Buddha never claimed that there's no end to suffering. You can always feel when a teacher is truly useful and not just trying to give you the "right" answers.

Every guru is still on a ladder. There is no final state. As long as this body is functioning the guru will become wiser and wiser with time. I have no doubt that Eckhart is enlightened, also I feel Kim. Every teacher is suited for another temper. Every guru is an enrichment. Just pick what you like the most. I listen to Eckhart, Mooji and Rupert. Eckhart is the master of mainstream spirituality, I love his concept of the pain body. What I miss with Eckhart is that he doesn't go really deep with his students. But I think he does that on purpose because he senses that his audience isn't ready to go really deep. I mean 'The Power of Now' was on the bestsellers list. How can this be? There almost no people that are really into spirituality. Eckhart addresses the masses and I think he is very good at this.

Taking whatever Kim or Eckhart says like something to think about, is just pointless. There's nothing to learn, there's nothing to discuss or believe; you feel it or not. They can't tell you what to do and Eckhart have said a lot of times that you should find out by yourself if what's he's saying it's true in your own experience.

Most NewAge guru are influenced by Yoga philosphy which have more similarity with Western religion. In complete oneness can not tell difference you and me. This is not correct as healing is individual rather collective. Buddhism the oneness is more abstract.
