My kitten is currently battling FIP, but he is recovering quickly after about a week of just praying that he wasn’t going to die while we slept. I don’t think I can forget sitting there and watching him while I cried because I was so sure he was about to stop breathing. It is a horrible disease, I’m so glad Smokey is doing ok

Well I just cried my eyes out! What a warrior kitty and what an amazing job you have done to care for him! Such a happy ending, I really feared the worst when I saw how poorly he was. Then to see him at the end running to play fetch! Absolutely amazing! Our Nefertiti sat and watched this with me, after her recent health scare we really can empathize. I also think that Neffi may have fallen in love a little bit with Smokey being such a courageous kitty!

Hi Ma.Jean, my foster cat was disgnosed withn dry ocular FIP about 3 weeks ago. There is a therapy but act fast. Visit the website mentioned here. There are also FIP support groups on facebook. We are in day 5 of injections. There is hope. Don't lose it. There is probably a support group in your country.

This is such an emotional video for me. My cat Boogenhagen died from FIP back in 2017. I wish that he had had the opportunity to experience the treatment that Smokey has been pioneering. I'm so sorry to hear about Boogenhagen... May Boogenhagen rest in peace... We know the pain that you went through and it's definitely a roller coaster of emotions. We were lucky the treatment was available where we are and we literally found it just in time for Smokey. We think a day later and he would have most likely passed away. Poor Smokey.. That must have been really stressful for you guys. Especially that night when he was really weak. I've also had a cat with FIP, who unfortunately died a few years ago to kidney failure.. We've had him for almost 3 and a half years, but he was the most loving cat we ever had. We didn't get a treatment for him, because the veterinarian said there was nothing we could do. We tried interferon, but that didn't work. Probably because he also had chronic upper respiratory tract disease, because of his weak immune system. I'm happy to see that Smokey is doing so well and that his treatment is working! What a relief it must be for you ❤️

We're definitely relieved and keeping Smokey under constant observation, but so far he's doing well.. He's gotten special treatment and extra treats because he's a survivor lol. Hello White cat Garden! Glad to see you again! Smokey had a unique meow for a few days. Sounded like a frog haha. but he's much better now. I will tell Smokey he has a big fan! 😂

My cat Bomi was also diagnosed with Dry type of FIP. She is on GS medication now. I had lost Zuma (Bomi sibling) earlier in April due to Wet type FIP. So for cat parents out there battling with FIP with their cats. Dont lose hope. FIP is really a devastating 😢😭 disease. But rhere is a cure and not the end of the world for your cat. Its gonna be a tough fight but its worth it in the end.

This video made me cry, I am very glad that your cat is healthy and cheerful again. Today I found out that my cat has F.I.P, my husband and I didn’t really know what to do since our budget was very tight and the cost for the treatment was not cheap as well. But we just couldn’t bare to lose Taro, his like a family to us. Can I ask what treatment are you using, and is there anyway that we can cure it naturally? May your family be blessed good health and happiness 🙏💖

My cat passed away from FIP today. I didn't know about it until today and I hate that people can't legally buy the drug in the states.

I just chanced upon your video after researching about FIP. My 2 y/o rescue, Oreo was just diagnosed with dry FIP today. She’s starting her first injection earlier today (day 1/84). I’m hoping she’ll fight through it…similar symptoms whereby she lost her appetite, became lethargic and weaker.

Sooo happy to see fip survivors! My cat is diagnosed with wet form. We've already had 17 injections. He's much more active but it seems to me he still doesn't eat enough. How many injections did you have in total?

The kitten I got for my boyfriend just got diagnosed today. We’re so heartbroken.. we thought we would have years but we only got 2 months. We’re waiting to hear from someone in our area who said they’d contact us about getting the medication. Fingers crossed!

Never expected to be dealing with an FIP cat when I recently adopted a sibling pair from a local rescue group. We got onto the case super quickly and have already signed the unfortunate boy kitten up for the program we have here. Thankfully he still has a huge appetite so we have hopes that he’ll pull through this just fine so that he can go back to playing with his sister again.

Hello Baru94. Sorry for the delay in response. We had extended 1 more month for Smokey but during the end of month 2 his bloodwork was much better. So in the end it was just over 3 months for Smokey. Smokey is doing well now. I created a shorts video with Smokey's update just yesterday.

Which shoot did he get ? Looks Like our Pluto a to z. And at this moment. Ylu Are giving us hope 🙏🏻. He is diagnost fee days ago wit FIP dry version ! I ak feeding him the same way you did and he skeeps with us ! We have been praying a lot .

My cat I believe has something similar, With weight loss, and still with normal rate of breathing (28rpm) but looks shallow or short at times; Vet diagnosed him as having Lymphoma (large mass in abdomen), along with fluid around his long. X-Ray/Ultrasound and fluid aspiration off surrounding lungs confirmed it. However, he is currently on prednisone and I'm wondering if this could help him try and fight his current state, and try to combat his lymphoma. Any Ideas would be grateful. Oliver is 12 years old and we are located in Fayetteville, NC.

I got a kitten for my daughter to help her heal from her 1st cats death at 1.5 yrs old from a car… she was 13 weeks old when my vet diagnosed her with FIP. I really wish I would have known about a possible treatment! Her and I lost two young cats in a three week span. Very heartbreaking. And now we are scared to get another one… I’m so happy Smokey survived! This disease is so scary and so sad to watch them go though.

How did u get the diagnosis of fip? What symptoms did they have?

My kitten became so weak recently and I suspect he may have FIP. He has a high fever at night and normal temperature in the daytime. The vet ran some tests but I did not get a definitive answer yet. Is this a sign of FIP infection?

Hello Tomi. We're very sorry to hear about your cat. Smokey (not Nemo) had wet fip and it took about 1-2 weeks to really start to see an improvement. But every cat has different reaction and I'm not familiar with neuro fip. Do hope for quick recovery for your cat 🙏

I´ve lost the most amazing cat because of FIP (wet) in 2018, he was 7 years old. I didn´t know anything about it until that day, not even he´s had it. My first cat died, I´ve got new kitten instead. It was too stess for him I guess and the illness showed up. It took only 12 days from healthy cat to the grave. But my new kitten was in conntact with him and he was also possitive tested on FIP. I´m trying everything to keep him away from any stress, but... FIP could wake up anytime. I HOPE so much, this is real. I´ve lost Bart, I hate to lost Charlie as well. RIP for all the cat angels, that are over the rainbow bridge.

my cat was put down today, he had fip and when he got sick he's brain swelled and he colden do anything for himself and it was the saddest thing. he's gone now :( the exparamentl treatment is 2000$ and may not work

Before I check the link you offered....... would you tell me the name of the drug you used for injection? I am a veterinary surgeon. I know of no such drug. I would really love to use it on my patients.

The problem would be the costs. Most of my FIP patients are homeless, even feral. So if I wanted to save a cat I would have to pay for it from my own money. Noone here in Sweden would pay that price. May-be German clients living here would......Anyway I thank you very much for your information! - What I can do is this: many cats are carriers of the Corona virus causing FIP. They only get sick when the immune system is stressed. ALL VACCINATIONS stress the immune system. I found out that cats that showed no symptoms and seemed perfectly healthy could still carry the virus. When I vaccinated them against the flu and panleukemia they got sick with FIP some weeks later. So I have become very restrictive in vaccinating cats.

I just lost my girl to fip on the 1st of July 2021. It happened so fast. And horrible to have to see something you love go through that. It's gut wrenching sadness.

@@NemoTheRescueCat he is GONE😔😭😭😭😭😭 I HAD offers for a go fund me but he would have suffered longer till I recieved it he was and still is my love. I wanted him to live but the way he looked and acted told me he wanted to go. His breathing was getting harder his swallowing was a struggle so I made one of the most horrific choices to let him go and boy it hurts extremely bad. I'm kicking myself in the heart because of that choice however these companies are just a disgusting as the F.D.A and the virus itself charging thousands for 84 week treatment I know it would have helped but I'm the kind that wasn't given a choice they made that for me by ignoring the meds and charging a arm and a leg to give me hope! The pills were the cure the company and F.D.A were the executioners.😠I pray for those who had to suffer I pray for the cats who suffered more taking advantage of the ones who would give anything for their fur babies😭😭😭🙏 these videos gave hope until we looked at prices im glad your baby made it you two were one of the lucky blessed ones

@@littleshell2748 100% they don’t help anyone’s animal who has FIP here. Unless you have 10,000 dollars, you have to put your cat down. We had to put our baby maymay down April 2nd and she was only 4. 😭

My cat today had just diagnose with fip. Any advise. Below is the doctor descriptions Hi Ms Valerie, Not so good news about Chiko. He's positive for feline corona virus (antibody), that could be the reason why he is showing neurological signs if the corona virus has mutated into FIP (feline infections peritonitis) I ran a quick check on his blood level as he is very pale and his blood level is VERY low with only 10%. (normal should be more than 40%), any blood level lower than 20%, blood transfusion is warranted. The possibility of mycoplasmosis (disease cause by fleas) is still high chance as it will cause anemia. Detailed blood result will only be out tmr.

I am an owner of a FIP cat named Salma. She was diagnosed with ocular and neurological form of a disease. As was said, GS serum worked as a miracle, even after the first shot, she began to eat on her own, her eyes cleared. Before treatment she was almost completly blind and her behaviour was simular to Smokeys, she was not active. didnt eat and was constantly sleeping. Today i just did the 14 shot out of 84. And i must say, she gained 300g of weight, she is very active and can even see now. This GS formula is life saving. If u have FIP cat u must to try GS treatment, because its the last chance you and your cat have.

GS (remsidevir) . It's illegal, but you can find it in a black market

If anyone can answer. My cat is in 60 days treatment of wet fip. She is eating and drinking normally but recently is breathing a bit fast and her belly is still swollen. I was giving her injections but i stopped and now giving her the treatment in pill form (because its horrifying for her every time we go to the vet and shes blind). Question: does it take more than 84 days in some cases to treat? Should i give her anything else?

My kitty just got diagnosed. I don't know what to do? Where can I get the injections? Please help.

Has anyone else used gabapentin while doing this treatment? The injections are incredibly painful for my cat and she has become unmanageable even before the vets poke her. I tried with 25 and with 50 mg doses 2-3 hours prior but saw no effect on her, she was acting totally normal and the injections were as painful as always. Any advice is appreciated-

@@ElizabethGonzalez-jt7ns my cat had unexpected attacks, where he started shaking with his eyes wide open. He was not able to breath for about 10 seconds until he got back to normal. He was traumatized, he urinated and had big pupils. I am afraid I have to put down my cat soon. I hope everything is going to be okay with your cat 🙏

My kittie 'Thomas' has FIP. He is battling fluid in his lungs. His on meds right now. They have given antihistamine and a antibiotic. He went out for the first time today, still weak! :( He ate some tuna today, but does not want to drink water........ please advise

How is Smokey now? This was 2 years ago. I currently have a cat on day 20 of this treatment. She improved after 4 or 5 days and is doing well but we have still 64 days to go! I am wondering about the long term effects though, is Smokey still ok? My cat was also extremely small and had a weak immune system!

Hello Norman! Glad to year your cat is showing signs of improvement! Smokey has been doing great and to be honest he has been a lot more livelier and vocal than before he had FIP. We still keep am eye on him but I can safely say he's enjoying life again. I do have some shorts video of Smokey recently for you to see him. I've been meaning to do a follow up video on Smokey 2 years after he had FIP. Keep an eye on our channel, I'll create one soon! Wishing your cat a speedy recovery!

We just had to put my cat down on April 2nd due to FIP. She was only 4. I wish this treatment was available in America but the only options were bloodtransfusions that would only prolong her life not cure her. And it would cost up to 10,000 dollars with having to buy the injections off the black market. 😭
