Witness the introduction of orphan baby monkeys Anya and Danny to their new foster moms.

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

In this heartwarming video, you'll witness the introduction of orphan baby monkeys Anya and Danny to their new foster moms. However, Anya's clingy behavior towards Danny is making it difficult for the foster moms to bond with them. To address this, they plan to introduce Anya first and Danny later. Unfortunately, the introduction had to be postponed for a day as one of the foster moms, Kofi, was feeling ill. In the meantime, all the baby monkeys get to meet other monkeys and are paired with new foster moms. Follow their journey as they adapt to their new environment and develop social skills. Stay tuned to see how they thrive under the care of their new families. At the Vervet Monkey Foundation, a wildlife conservation & animal rescue sanctuary... Baby Season 6 Episode 22

It's amazing how the adult monkeys gather around the cage. It's almost like people waiting in line for a store having a great sale 😂. They each want the best prize.

Poor little Anya almost strangled Danny during the first day of introductions, she was so itty bitty when she arrived at the VMF she probably didn't remember having a monkey Mom. I'm so happy for her that she accepted a Foster Mom and realized she's a monkey and is where she needs to be!❤

Wow. I see so many compliments for the work VMF does to save and protect these monkeys but I was shocked to see so few donations! Come on people, surely you can afford at least $20 for such a fantastically needed cause. They've made it so much easier to donate now it really isn't a bother at all.

Dave's voiceover is not only informative, but comedically entertaining as well, such as "reading" Martini's thoughts about being able to open the intro-cage door.... Seems truly magical to see Pascall so happy and playful. I enjoyed seeing the stages of this integration, and the amazing moment of babies and mums leaving the intro cage. I always tear up at that point. It is the ultimate successful culmination of all your efforts, fears, tears and hopes to save and nurture these physically/emotionally traumatized infant orphans. It is always magical to see as if seeing for the first time ever.❤I am so grateful to all of you for your devotion to saving these darling beings.

When they're babies, the fur is very soft. I was there in October and helped for a morning in Neverland. Not sure how soft the adults' fur is, as I think only vets and similar handle them.

I realize that we viewers have very limited observation of the daily lives of the babies. That said, I recall that in past years there were a lot of babies that would suckle the ears of other babies to soothe themselves, but I don’t recall seeing finger sucking at all. Recently, I’ve not seen the babies suckling another’s ears, but they seem to have ALL switched to finger sucking instead. Am I imaging this? It may simply be coincidence that the footage this year is only catching finger sucking, but if there has been a switch in their behavior, I wonder how it is that they, all, made the switch. (All meaning those inclined to self soothe) The only explanation I can think of is that possibly babies spent more time alone with caregivers which them forced to self soothe using their own fingers. There is no real significance, of course, to understanding why this happened, but I would be curious to know if I’m imagining the change or not. Either way, those babies are very lucky to have all of you, and the world is also benefitting from all of your work in ensuring the continued success of vervet monkeys as a species-Thank you!
