Lived in Australia where the Banksia plant grows and that is a pod that they used to make that little vase I bought Banksia pods that were turned into Christmas ornaments.

I have an American Indian wedding vase my sister's friend, who is an Inuit indian from Alaska, made fir my husvand and I veten she first moved to Seattle. That is definitely an Indian wedding vase! Apparently, during the ceremony, both the bride and groom will drink from the the vase as part of their vows. Very cool! ( : Great find. ( : Awwww...hi willow! She is so cute! ( : She looks so happy! I've made a mini jar of shells on a necklace for my cousin once. it was shells i collected at a beach so she could have it since she likes mermaids, shells, and stuff.

Great finds. I don't think you'll regret buying the tub of Legos. I'm so jealous of you being able to hit all those thrift stores. Now I really can't wait to go on vacation. Keep Hustlin'!!

I just sold 70lbs of Lego raw with mini figs. Sold it all for 350 plus shipping. Could have made way more if I went through it all. However my toddler kept dumping bags out so it had to go. Still doubled my $$$

It's good to know that the Lego instruction books sell. I kept all of my son's in plastic sleeves in a binder. 🎉

Looks like I need to go through my 2 totes of Legos! I have a lot of mini-figs & accessories along with assorted Lego bricks.

In the Lego instruction books is an inventory list of parts needed for the set. If it looks like you have most of the parts, it can be beneficial to see if you can complete the set. I have found several $100+ sets in one bag of legos from goodwill, several times. For me it’s like a treasure hunt!

@@beardedthriftmachine the bigger green base looked like Duplo, that is Lego but for smaller kids. the first book you picked up looked to be Bionical, also a lego product. My wife worked for Lego for 16 years. great company to work for.

Oh no. I watch so much Crazy Lamp Lady I think I can pick it out at 50 paces!! Course I watch 100% of Bearded Thrift Machine too. But she puts out daily content. You learn a lot from her about glass and pottery. :)

New sub here ... WOW y'all have a good Habitat for Humanity restore. Ours is only building product. We do have a lot of thrift stores in our area. Like 15 in a 30 mile radius! Between Goodwill, American Rescue Workers, Salvation Army and the independent owned. Thanks for taken us along w ya! We are heading out to hit ours tomorrow. Keep em coming, you're a joy to watch. Hi Guys really enjoy your videos, learning lots about lego prices, I work in a thrift shop in outback Australia, we call them op shops here, everything this week is $1, unless it's marked 50 cents. I love going to work, the bargains are unreal. You would love it, we do get lots of resellers, we don't care as they spend heaps of money. We also have bag sales $5 a bag, fill it up. love from Oz

Jules, you're so funny! Fun checking out shops. Myrtle Beach used to look more like that. It's pretty, but you do know Spanish Moss is a parasite, don't you. It will eventually kill/damage trees. Usually the cheapos are just basic onyx, or ugly dyed ones. A pretty jasper or agate isn’t from china usually.

The oil burner is made from a banksia pod.

7:44 looks like a turned banksia seed pod, they are normally fuzzy on the outside.

At 12:57, that is a piece of fused glass. It likely would have been a good pickup.

Logitech stopped selling the Harmony remotes and hubs around 2021. They are great remotes and stiil in demand. I have one i still use but beware I don't think the software to use them is being updated any longer for newer electronics. I can't use it with my new TV, it just wont respond to some of the buttons. The software could not find an exact match to my TV so i tried another model that was similar. Same thing with my Apple TV 4k ( newest model).

Yes to the Legos. Are the other ones Mega Blocks? My son collected those sets, also. The bases, alone, are worth money. My sister lives in Blufton, SC right across the bridge from Hilton Head. I want to go down there now and go to the shops that you have been going to.

If it’s like in Tennessee, people have a habit of taking things out of boxes and spreading pieces all over the place. Not sure what they think they’re doing by doing it. They also tend to try to change prices on items. It’s aggravating.

What was the little brass cup on a pole in the gold bag? Fun to go through when on vacation.

Honestly I would have bought those eggs small eggs like that can go for $20 a piece and those were like dinosaur eggs get a little stand and a glass shield for one and its a dinosaur collectors center piece 😅

Lego can be big money but lots are time consuming to separate. I find it fun because I build along the way (also good to show a finished picture of a set in the listing) but some people don't.

Hey I'm local to your area I was wondering if you guys know any places with good book supplies around MB or if the stores you seen on your trip had good book sections? I've been thinking about traveling the grand strand area to Thrift any input would be helpful also I was wondering how do you guys get your info on the yard sales in our area?

There used to be a great thrift store on hwy.17 in Pawleys Island.

That first book reminds me that I just can’t figure out how so many books are sold for $4 with FREE shipping!!! The media mail is close to $5 alone. What is the point of losing money on every sale?
