WOW, Wendy is such a perfectionist when it comes to presenting, editing etc. Hope she got paid $$$$$ for all this this artistic showcase of her skills and hard work
I love that you are so chill and not perky and so crazy talented. It's hard to explain how watching some youtube videos take energy for me to watch, but yours infuse me with calm creativity. I hope you have a great career. You have that special something.

Lol i was just thinking the same thing! I have two dogs who would love to tear this up. I was going to make two and use them as an entryway curtain but I’m having second thoughts.
Wendy is always such a darling to listen to. She is really good at making clothes.

Thank you that's so nice!! :)
So great to see you doing your tapestry! I started to weave 5 minutes ago 😊after a weaving pause of 15 years at arts university.😊..so glad to see how I could use all my fabrics and yarn leftovers for a grand piece of art. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.💚👍🌷
Wow I REALLY love how you named the techniques and even highlighted each area where you used them. I haven't seen anyone else do that. It makes it so much easier to see/plan/follow the project as a whole. And it's SUCH a great way to avoid having to explain all the basics, but still make the project possible for beginners like me. I'm so impressed!! Sub from me for sure ❤️
Wow- so awesome!! I have 3 long rectangular painting canvases, and I plan to use that as a loom, I already made a small woven piece on a 8x10 frame (my first weave), but I've been wanting to make very large one's like yours- I'm so glad I found your video, blessings from NYC!! 😄💗🌷
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! You are truly gifted Miss Wendy! It's SO mid century mod! I think so anyway. Your instructions are so easy to understand and you're so calm and relaxed about it all! Hope you sell/begin to sell these, your patience to make these and talent could be so beneficial! x
This is beautiful. This is art. I can’t wait to mess it up and try again and finally be happy with the result ! Thank you sooo much ! Love this
I was just thinking I really wanted to make one. After this I'm inspired. It's lovely.
I've wanted to start weaving for forever but I didn't know how to without a loom! This is a great idea and I love Wendy and this was posted on my birthday! Its a sign
I found out about your videos while i was watching home decor videos and one of the videos of Alexandra 😱 and it is now 1 am here in NY and i can’t stop going over all your videos.. loved all of them....
beautifully made and detailed video, very calming as well. definetly a calm way of introducing tapestery haha. tried first few weaves recently and could feel the stress leaving - cant wait to try more!
I love how you use things you already have at home for your weaving - table legs, instead of a $300+ loom, etc. And your final piece looks amazing! Thanks for the great video! 👏🏻 💖 👏🏻
This was so informative! Thanks for sharing your skills in such an approachable way :) I've been wanting to try making tapestries but always get stuck thinking I'm not following proper technique. It's nice to see someone explore the flexibility and variety of textures available when free form weaving !

I've found tapestry to be a nice level of flexibility where if you make a mistake you can often go back to correct it, or if you step back and want to change something you can, so as far as crafts go it's been a nice one to pick up!
This is stunning! My favorite is the contrast between the big braids and the little tabby stitches. Wow.
Love your work, and your relaxed, positive attitude. This is totally like having the 70s back.
IDK how your video showed up under my suggestions, but I'm so glad I clicked on it! I've never thought of creating such a wall hanging (a tapestry with random design) but after watching your tutorial I'm interested in trying this. Not only does the process look relaxing, the weaving back and forth. But the texture is very compelling to me, a tactile person who loves to touch things. You can usually see my fingers grazing across the decorative pillows in the department store. 😍 Or even the sides of pottery in the gardening center. I also love yarn and cording. I love to crochet and knit. So I am compelled to create your tapestry just so my fingers could enjoy touching the weaves and loops and hanging strings. ❤ Thank you!
Ahhhhhh!!! I’ve been waiting for this video ever since you mentioned in the comments on the last weave video that you were doing one as big as your table!! It was worth the wait, amazing job!! 😊

Thank you!! The size of it is so satisfying, feel like I could fall asleep under it hahaha
Tabby Weave for flat area,Pile Weave,Soumak, and rya knot for fringe, cool!
I am a weaver and I love it! I use a floor loom mostly and I make table runners, towels, scarves and material to see clothing. I have made tapestries and enjoy that as well. I wanted to share another easy pattern. Instead of tabby ...over one, under one...go over two and under two. As in tabby weave the next row would be under two and over two, etc. Thank you for sharing your love of weaving! I find your weaving color pallets beautiful. I am a subscriber now!
buenísimo!!!! muy clara en la demostración!!!! impresionante ... para reciclar lanas, telas ,etc.
Beautiful!!!! It turned out looking almost like a landscape with a sunset! That’s what I see :))
Hi Wendy love this tapestry. In fact it's awesome... Thank you so much for sharing x keep weaving x keep smiling x keep safe and well x love from UK
Perfect video. You are so clear with your instructions. Inspirational lady. Thank you so much!!
I've watched this tutorial many times and I think it's one of the best ones. I would like it if you would make some more wall hangings. I learn so much. I haven't made one yet but I now have some yarn.
So beautiful! And your voice and music, the whole composition, is so calming and soothing
4:30 That green yarn is beautiful! The whole finished tapestry is goregeous!
Great tutorial. You may find Saori weaving inspiring. It's similar but has the same free flow choice & full of texture. Gives you scope for all sorts of applications from clothes to floor rugs.
I like that it looks different and soft, very comforting. Also that yellow top looks beautiful on you, it goes really well against your skin and hair colour.
Wow! This is just what I've been searching for. Super presentation, great narration, and,at last someone who uses delightful background music. This is wonderful, and,I am a raw beginner to weaving. Thank you for superb video.
Beautiful! Blessings all!!!! 💜💜
Wendy, I am new to your channel and I find this to be fabulous. I think I have a similar love to you (as I'm sure many do here) of structure and free flow art. Again, I thank you so much for this, I have forwarded it to several friends and I'll look at your other video's as well.
A great tutorial! You are a good instructor and the piece is gorgeous. Enjoyed watching your video. Thank you for your generosity.
I have watched a TON of videos on tapestry weaving on KZread and this one is by far the best. I am off to look for yarn and other goodies!!
Great video, super interesting project, very inspiring and everything explained clearly! Good job! In my opinion it was very professionally made 😊👍
This is beautiful! I graduated from an Art School in Minneapolis (Minneapolis College of Art & Design. I wish they would have had a course like this back in the late 80's to early 90's I would have taken it for sure. Very Beautiful! You are an excellent teacher and explain things so well. It is something that I for sure may be trying after I make a large area rug. Just looking for some other techniques using different yarns, and having fun with it! Thank You Wendy! Kathy T. in Minnesota
beautiful, love it. I have to start collecting yarns then figure out a way to hold the frame - your table is genius
I keep coming back to this whenever I need that weavinspo!
This was a great tutorial, Wendy! I really enjoyed watching you! I was surprised that this was only the second tapestry you make! 😮☺

You had me the minute you rigged up the table turned on it's side. Innovation❤
Beautiful work !!
connecting the string to the table is genius, i love seeing that i can do crafts without all the expensive tools
Using table legs! That is so cool, I would have never thought about that.
Really lovely
really love this, and was searching for a way to make something for our new home using my leftover yarns from knitting. I really think this could be it! I have started knitting a tapestry, but i really wasn't feeling it!
