You're just like me. No plan, no math, very organic process and I love it! I often feel like my approach is flawed, but there's beauty in a process void of strict planning, and your video proves that. Thanks for this!

I love how you incorporated weaving into your macrame. I was thinking about macrame techniques into my weaving. You are proof that there is no one ‘right’ way to do something! You’re work is beautiful and so is your confidence!

Hi! I loved your video! I'm a weaver and a spinner. I've always wanted to learn macrame so I could combine it with my weaving. Just an fyi...the "yarn" you are using looks like its roving to me...that's the stuff us spinners spin into yarn! That's why its fragile and separated. That first part of the weaving you are doing is called sumac weave. :) I can't wait to find your basic macrame videos to learn !

Thanks for sharing, NOW I know the trick!!! Adding the double half hitch where you like!! I like doing both macrame and weaving!! Weaving just takes more time!! This is a GREAT video!! I watch a lot of them!! Just FYI...Niromi Studios has great prices for cotton rope. The cheapest I have found. Yes there are cheaper overseas, but once you pay for shipping...WOW!! TOO expensive!! The weave you did with your chunky yarn is called soumak weave, just in case you want to know!! LOL! The other is the simple over under weave! GREAT TUTORIAL, THANKS SOOO MUCH FOR SHARING!! I am going to my craft room!!

I love this project and your description is very good. As a fellow fiber arts enthusiast , I wanted to help you out a bit - That big fragile “yarn” is actually not yarn, it’s roving which is used to make yarn by the process of spinning, and that’s why it’s so fragile. it’s quite literally many hairs that have all been combed in one direction and the spinner uses a spinning wheel or a drop spindle to draw the threads out a few at a time to spin them and make yarn. That said, I absolutely LOVE that you incorporated it into your project! Nicely done! 😊

I rarely listen any tutorials, I have hearing problem and for me any sounds are distraction from the visual process, so I turn volume down and follow the visuals. I use subtitles and read lips if possible, but sometimes it's impossible to read and follow when the person is talking so fast and subtitles is like ants running on my screen! 😂
