Second Sight was better, but Psi Ops had the better controls, so it got more hype at the time.

@@SheffieldsPark As someone who played both, I felt Second Sight's gameplay on the low side, and too much emphasis on stealth. Any alert triggers waves of enemies like MGS, again another game emphasizes stealth. Psi Ops had tighter controls but more importantly you were allowed to go creative with your powers. That being said Second Sight wins when its comes to plot especially the end twist.

Psi-Ops was and still is one of the best damn games I've ever played on the Xbox. Such a shame it didn't do as well as it should've. A modern re-release or remake would be the dream.

the reason midway closed down (or atleast the psi-ops franchise) was never completed was because the whole story was ripped off. the guy who actually wrote the story found out and sued midway and won the case, hence why there wont ever be a sequel or remake... sadly :(

A remake!? hell yes! The game was revolutionary to me. Using the epic mind powers was just so much fun. Hope they will at the very least make a remake, better yet, a sequel to continue the story

To those that don't know what the elevator version of this song is, in the game when you get into an elevator in Hong Kong, this song plays, but it's changed so it sounds like elevator music.

+SuperCratoss Advent Rising by a land slide. Second Sight isn't bad either but.... Yeah Advent Rising is on a whole nother level. I'll also say Mass Effect Vanguard class does some real justice.

You play the other two? And how I am wrong about ME? have you played the Vanguard class? It's all telekinetic stuff like levitation, the first ME heavily relied on this. The later games had it as well but teleport got more and more broken each game LMAO!

Airaku i have played second sight it was forgettable. i have played all 3 mass effects games as all 6 classes i haved completed it 24 times it one of my fav games to play

Mass Effect is one of the best games ever. That's for sure. I limited myself to one play through. Hard as fuck to do but I wanted it to be MY story that would last in my memory forever! And god damn it's still crystal clear to me :3 Second Sight was alright, definitely not great but it had it's fun moments. Geist also had a lot of potential. That is a bit more on "Possessing" people than anything.

2002-2004 was an awesome time for music from video game. Immortal by Adema from Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, this song from Psy-Ops, and the entire Halo 2 soundtrack with Breaking Benjamin, Incubus, and Hoobastank. Hell of a time to be a gamer.

The telekinesis boss fight is still one of the most spectacular boss battles I've ever experienced in video games. This game was like Metal Gear Solid with superpowers.

The nostalgia is real.

This game was and still highly under rated! I would love to see a sequel, Hell if someone from the original development team did a kick starter for Psi Ops 2 then I would back it without a question!

Psi ops super game

Every so often this game flashes into my memory and I feel a point of happiness followed by a state of sadness that it never continued or was crafted into something more. Yet, Call of Duty continues to vomit out the same game with new box art and slightly adjusted load outs/perks (maybe from a time BEFORE or A TIME TO COME) and develops into a franchise to quell the mass of mouth breathers...

Feb. 2021 I fucking loved this game! The PS Magazine (remember that?) reviewer said this was the first time he felt like he had superpowers in a game.

2024 and still 🔥 like I felt it for the first time.

God I miss Psi-Ops

I remember getting this game for a few bucks at GameStop. Worth every penny.

I remember there was a part in the game where you had to take an elevator and the Muzak (Elevator Music) version of this song was playing. I thought it was hilarious. I hung out in the elevator just to hear it lol. They seriously need to make a sequel of this game, it was great!

That was literally my first introduction to what "muzak" was as a kid... and that level was fucking hard as hell, especially when you get to the part with the hallucination maze

One of the best ps2 games ever made. I still play it to this day.

Man I love this song, the game was a masterpiece.

Still annoyed that there doesn't seem to be any way to legitimately download this music. I love this song, I'd pay for it if I could.

Best line of this song and one of the best lines Scooter Ward / Cold has ever written ..."If you play with fire, I'll control the flame." Love it. Wish they were more around with hits / songs like this and more prominant now days. I remember being an emotional teenager and spinning their cds nonstop as I listened and stood out in the rain for hours in all black just venting in my mind.

There are different types of metal that appeals to certain type of individuals. also metal is not screaming, bands like Judas priest are classified as metal and there is no screaming in it. There are sub genres of metal, like death, hardcore, death code emo, and metalcore , which have screaming , but not all of it is bad, in fact metalcore is one of the best sub genres, you just need to listen to the right band.

Admit this rock- Metal never really had a time (an era it belongs to- the 90's was rock. This is rock, hard rock.

To be frank, I never heard of psi-ops, I knew of cold. I found this song and I was blown away by it. Cold is a very underrated band!

I remember a PS2 demo that had this game and song on it. I played the hell out of that thing as a kid.

I loved this game

20 years I have been waiting for a sequel. Not like for obvious reasons. But the mystery around the "conspiracy" and the corrupt groups and the whole psychics and alien machine just send my mind thinking the possibilities. Talk about a franchise with limitless potential. Fantastic game. It's one of my all-time favourites even if it ends with a mighty cliffhanger. Would love to pick up where it left off and continue into the psychic fray.

PSI-ops is the only game for this song, there may be variants out there like, halo and silent hill (side bar) but there are none as true as this game, this song was specifically engineered with this game in mind.
