Oh god this is the only deleted scene that deserved to be deleted. I bet Disney was thinking this was going to be another "girlboss don't need no man" moment but god it just wouldn't make sense for Amaya to suddenly be so cruel to her husband's like that

Yeah, this is the one deleted scene they were right to cut it looks like. Unless Magnifico was truly heinous and killed people himself, this doesn't feel warranted, especially from his own wife. I'd be like "are you sure she's not supposed to be a villain herself?"

I agree. I mean, you killed a man, your husband, for making a monthly lottery that just got unpopular one day and reading a manipulative book. I don't know, try to break the curse first before killing the man you loved for years.

He might have had no control over his actions once he did the whole forbidden magic stuff but before that he definitely did, and he still wasn’t a good guy. Not to mention he probably knew the consequences of using forbidden magic and used it anyway, so- honestly? Still entirely his fault that everything happened in the way that it did

Tells us a lot about these writers who changed the script. Instead of true love of Starboy and Asha, and evil yet fun love from Amaya and Magnifico, you get her killing her own husband and cutting out Starboy. Sounds like they wanted to celebrate the end of true love in their movies instead...

Insted they wanted to make it a girlpower story but failed even at that. This scene feels like they tried to bring that girlpower move but made the queen horrible and the people of the city stupid. It is good that this was deleted. A cool twist could have been that if they both were evil like the original plan and when the king failed the queen could have said ”well, I don’t need him” and then steped on the mirror. She is so evil that she don’t care about her husband when he can’t do anything.

The fact that every single person in Rosas is a beast says a lot about who wrote this script. This is nauseating and hard to believe a human being with a heart would have remotely considered it.

Honestly that could've helped the movie: EVERYONE is selfish and pressure Magnifico to grant their wishes. It would've been a nice twist to the "everyone is a good person except the villain" as seen in traditional Disney films, as well as having everyone take responsibility rather than piling it on Magnifico.

I would've taken a "Queen attempts to break her husband out of the dark magic curse with a true love's kiss" resolution over...whatever they were smoking to come up with this idea

Well, it's painfully obvious that Disney really doesn't want love in any form of their movies now. Especially married ones. It's a sad day when you have to give Strange World credit for having at least a happily married couple...

I have no idea what to think of this. On one hand, a really brutal and hardcore death which we really should need more of in Disney's films, but on the other hand, this wasn't even necessary.

They could have just had the mirror fall and shatter without anyone having to specifically break it. That would have granted my wish, and anyone's for another Disney Villain Death (as we have not had a truly glorious one in film since King Candy, as King Runeard's was underwhelming and the Druun were less of a character and more of a mindless plague) in a way far more acceptable than this. Not quite as graphic as the Storm King's death in MLP but I'd like to think that would suffice, while not making us dislike Amaya.

I think Amaya had seen her husband’s dark side and ignored it. But his actively trying to enslave her and everyone else awakened her fully.

I actually feel like this would make more sense if Amaya was abused by magnifico prior to this all, maybe if she was talked down to and even physically abused and manipulated, it would make more since for her to act this way.

Basically, it is a slippery slope. Because everyone has a different idea of what abuse and maltreatment is. Plus if we really teach kids to always demand an “eye for an eye” well, when do we ever get forgiveness? And what if someone cannot pay you back for a wrong they did? There’s all sorts of problems with this revenge philosophy-which that is what this is. It’s a philosophy of “take your revenge.”

Wow, a deleted scene from Wish that they actually made the right call on deleting! Not that I mind dark Disney moments (I love them), but this doesn't feel warranted given that Magnifico never did anything truly horrible like killing people himself and this would make the queen look like quite a psychopath (even though we're supposed to like her here). I wouldn't have minded if maybe we saw the mirror shatter as it hit the ground after falling from the tower but to have his _supposedly_ loving wife do it is uncalled for.

Kind of a scary thing to see here. The original concept celebrated love, joy, imagination, magic, fairytales and all the things you loved about classic Disney movies. The final product only wanted to brag and praise how great the company is, and refuse to use anything that resembled Walt's movies. It's more like they wanted to show that they don't need the old formula anymore, but they clearly do. As seen with praise from the concept art.

Honestly, Skeepers.. I think it WAS AI that wrote it. I mean, some people probably worked on it, but I think the HUMANS rarely worked on the actual movie, and were focused on the original romance, evil villain couple! I haven't personally seen it yet, but I don't know if the bigger problem was that people paid to go see the movie or on streaming services, so I'm not sure if its worth watching it on either the big screen or not, then saying it's garbage (as it really is), so I don't know if you'd have to watch it AT ALL to know its shit!

I love Amaya, she's my favourite character, but what on earth is this? That isn't her. Actually I'm not sure that anything after he uses the book is her. Maybe the book twisted her too because they're soulmates and he sold his soul? Glad they deleted this. They never should have released it at all.

So unlike the others, this won't be integrated into the imaginary version of Wish in my head, but I'll always take more deleted scenes! Thank you for posting!

This is… HORRIBLE! This would have made the film even worse than it is now! It may be the first time I would deeply say on having a deleted scene stay deleted because… wow. Just wow. Rather have the villainous couple than “nice” queen commit murder. Walt would be rolling constantly in his grave

but hey look, if the ending is like this, we get to know the real amaya and if there is a sequel then amaya is the next villain, she has been wanting to seize her husband's throne and also maybe his magic, and this is where star might come back, if this is indeed the plushie we saw before hopefully he can change his form into a human so he can communicate with asha and of course we as the audience understand better what they are saying, come on Disney you can still fix this, creativity and imagination to infinity and beyond

I could definitely see evil Amya doing this but not the final version of her glad they deleted it.

It would’ve been really cool if the queen turns out to be the evil queen from Snow White, Magnifico being the magic mirror. And the whole movie was a set up for Snow White. The seven friends later on living in the wood and finding a girl cleaning their house

I'd rather have her be Magnificos accomplice and partner in evil where she gets a classic Disney villain demise, falling off a tower to her death while fighting Asha. This would have triggered Magnifico to go full out villain and unleash his full wrath upon both Asha and Star who work together to take him down.

This...was just devastating, and further eliminates what little chemistry they had to begin with.

When the king was originally trapped inside the mirror, I thought for sure that he would find some way to escape, because it didn’t seem like a permanent solution. He could very easily break through the mirror. Most Disney villains’ stories end in death 💀. So, why didn’t he die?

I swear she was gonna smirk evilly.. That would've been crazy! I don't know if sequel bait, but still crazy!

I mean, it could work if Magnifico was shown to be more abusive, and his language more passive aggressive, becoming more rage than fear in the end. Queen Amaya's facial expression should also changed, instead of having this playful expression, have her face becoming stern when confronting with magnifico. Like, in theory, Queen Amaya killing Magnifico could work, they just didn't set up, and fumbled it to actually make it, mke sense

That's actually because this scene didn't have any voice over. It was storyboarded, but never used. There's only text at the bottom explaining the dialogue.

Much more horrible than the original ending. Yes, she was evil, she killed her husband to keep her power, she was evil like Asha.

If this isn't fanmade, then they were actually going to grant my wish? I mean, sure, I understand rejecting THIS particular death to avoid making the queen seem too unsympathetic, but in the past whenever Disney scrapped a Disney Villain Death that they thought was too graphic or inappropriate, they changed it to a death that was more acceptable. (Example: Gaston, who in the original draft was going to get eaten by wolves, and then commit suicide by jumping off, and final version was him losing his footing and falling to his death) So, yes, I can see why they deleted this scene, but what was wrong with just having the mirror fall and shatter in a less graphic version of the Storm King's demise in MLP?

Dang, she really just killed her husband, didn't she?

And, to anyone who disliked Amaya even without this potential scene that never made it into the final cut, remember she did try to see if she could release him from the dark magic, only to realize that she couldn't because once he embraced the darkness it would be with him forever.

This is what happens when you get AI to write a script. Hopefully the Lion King re-release will inspire Disney to make bigger and better changes to whatever their AI generated for Moana 2.

I like to imagine if this scene was kept this could add a little layer of if the magic mirror was made Then we know that the person speaking through that mirror. The one that is a “slave” through the reflection Was the king himself

I love Wish. But honestly, I dislike some villainous characteristics of Magnifico. If he is a corrupted antagonist type, he is worth to be redeemed and learn his mistakes like John Silver from Treasure Planet. Or maybe, he should have been a truly evil Disney Villains during the production, so he will be worth to get locked in a mirror or destroyed.... But at least, we must praise the film's themes and understand its lessons.

@@Master-Works no. Okay, look. First, let's talk about the citizens of Rosas. The citizens gave their wishes to King Magnifico in hope that he would grant them. But this is such a mistake. If you want to make your wishes and dreams come true, you must depend on yourself. Well, sometime, you may need a wish granter who will help and guide you, like the blue fairy, the fairy godmother, the three fairies, Merlin, Grandmother Willow, Mushu, and Mama Odie. But don't always depend on them. You need to have faith, honesty, dilligence, kindness, and sometime independence and follow your dreams. Then, let's talk about Magnifico. I don't always blame him and I understand why he didn't grant most of them. He lost his family and was just worried about the people around him. But you can't always look at the bad past. I already know that not all wishes should be granted. But he can't always keep them. If wishes are truly bad, evil, unnessary, foolish, or against nature, he must fix them by giving them back to their owners, telling them about disadvantages, guiding and educating them. Plus, it doesn't make sense that Asha's grandfather's wish shouldn't be granted. His wish is valuable and precious and worth to be granted. Magnifico must leaves all the bad pasts, watch and look at around him at the present, and make the brighter and better future for both him and the people. There is the same lesson from both Asha and Magnifico. Think again before you do and not to be in rush. I understand why Asha did all this. But I do agree that she did cause chaos and accidentally corrupt the king. This is because she did her goal too early. She needs a specific plan and still have times to plan. But she just did in rush with the star. That's why some early movie posters show her and the star with the message "Be careful what you wish for". This foreshadowed that she would make a big mistake after making a wish. Similarly, Magnifico practised the forbbiden black magic without checking the warning. He is too overprotective, cynical, and impatient which lead him to the wrong paths cursing him to become an evil being. If only he had been patient and calm down, he would never be corrupted because of Asha. Magnifico is worth to be redeemed and I can't believe this. He just tried to be a good king. Also, Asha just tried to give chances to most of the innocent people. But she got hated by audiences and fans and I feel really bad and sorry about her. She is a kind idiot who just want to make a better future.

I hate so much this horrible movie and this horrible alternative final and I hate the every characters specially Amaya and Asha,poor Magnífico.
