I got my stove last fall. I had all kinds of problems. I found out it was all my fault! I needed to raise the out side pipe higher, get a different top for my chimney. I also needed to put the chimney togather with as straight of path as i could leading out side. I love this stove! I live on less the 700.00 a month. This stove has saved me from freazing! Your a life saver sir! Thabk you so much!

Any one wanting to burn pellets without the need of electricity or wanting to replace parts and deal with problem breakdown's experienced with all other pellet stoves will love this stove. Doesn't take but a couple minuets with a hand held propane torch and can be lit with a automotive heat gun or a number of different fire starters but the hand held propane torch is the simplest way to start it. The only people to really complain are just to stupid to follow instructions and for the most part lack the intelligence to operate a stove.

I bought the WW pellet stove the one with the glass view window I had a problem getting the correct temp like they say 700F I it dose reach that point but not for a long time I was disappointed because it keeps getting stuffed up with ash at the second burning chamber causing it to getting chocked up you have to clean it up every two to three hours I had to do my own modification to it I was able to get more heat that exceeds the output up to almost 800F by cutting one of the burning basket bars so you will have only three bars instead of 4 that allows more air to reach the basket you will still have to clean the second burning chamber but your fire dose not slow down much you will get more out of your stove on a full blast up to almost 800F the hopper last up to 9Hrs I was able to keep my 2200sqf home very comfortable. In the coldest weather in Pennsylvania I was comfortable.

Okay, I am totally in love with this idea. Up here in Vermont, the electric costs are extremely high and of course, we heat at least seven months a year....sometimes even a bit more. I was waiting for information, but found this video. I think I will call to ask questions: Can I put this onto an existing chimney or does it need to have a steel flue instead of regular chimney flues? And do you know of any issues regarding heating at an even 700 degrees in a masonry chimney? Thanks for sharing!

Is there any danger of gases coming out form the revision opening (03:03 here) or the pellet's tank due to pyrolysis? I mean when the stove is already started, these openings closed and the stove is working with nominal parameters. Is there possibility of any gasses coming to the room?

Tell me please...Do the flames go up into the pipe like a wood stove..? as there is a concern with wood stoves and chimney fires. Or does this units chamber stop the flames before it reaches the chimney so that only heat is emitted in and through the chimney part itself preventing flames or chimney fire worry..?..

  • @kellyvcraig

From this layman's point of view, and based on more than a bit of reading, you want the pipe to go straight up quite a ways to insure draw. Ideally, chimney pipes (stack) would be insulated to keep the stack temperature high to help burn off gases, as they exhaust out of the stove. There is the matter of the temps noted. Most stoves show around 400 at that point, if memory serves. They are, generally, fed into insulating pipes to shield the structure they're going through. The heat, when this thing is off and running, is a lot to vent out a wall via a ninety anywhere near the top of the stove. In short, I hope I brought questions you can take to a fireplace shop.

It should work just fine, if there's enough air to breathe. Worst case, you could attach a small DC blower to the air input, powered by a thermoelectric generator (Peltier junction). The bigger problem would be lugging pellets up there. I'd go with a standard wood stove, for that reason.

So i found that having chimney at least 10 feet above roof line helped. Adding a non draft chimney top too. I would love to find a directional chimney top.cause the wind is bad where i live. But a non draft keeps the smoke from blowing back in. To clean it. You simply run water through it at end of season. If you need to clean build uo out before that use a chimny brush. I am a old lady and i do it by myself. If i can do it any one can.

For you fiddlers and backyard engineers, contemplate an auger driven pellet stove powered by concrete filled five gallon buckets raised by way of block and tackle (so even a kid could raise them) and which operate off a clock like mechanism. Should be able to run the (just guessing here) five RPM auger for well a couple days or longer without any electric. Go look up how a weight driven coo coo or grandfather clock works and it seems a perfect way to solve anpower problem for a pellet or corn stove.

I don't know who the mfg is for the pellets you are getting 24-36 hrs of burn time per 40lb bag but I haven't been able to get my WW pellet stove to burn a bag for more than 13 hrs on its lowest setting using softwood pellets. Additionally, the gravity feature doesn't burn all of the pellets. Mine burns out and leaves at least an 1/8 of a bag at a steep angle in the hopper. I have only had this for a few weeks (only burn on Friday nights) and I hate it. Working to return it to the vendor I bought it from. It does not work as you advertise. Super disappointing.

In fact, after one particularly nasty storm, I saw a couple on the street, in front of houses that had relied on them. One was nearly new and both were free.
