I love Brian's no-BS style! Yes, I have seen snow in May before in Milwaukee. Players from the South will either thrive (Brett Favre) or shrink (Tua) in November.

The winter thing is way overblown. Packers, Bears, Patriots, etc etc been playing in it forever. Even the New York City teams, teams like the Chiefs, Broncos, and so forth. Same for Michigan and OSU etc. Hey, even the SoCal teams have played in cold, wet, miserable, weather in the northwest. It’s part of the game, it’s part of life. Besides, the college season ends by/before the first week of December, and fall has barely ended or winter started before the end of the regular season. Cold weather locations are just oversold as a problem for players. They have the gear for it, and, besides, Wisconsin is putting in an underground heating system for the field that probably will be next to never used. One good thing in general about all the negative talk about the cold or winter is, it helps keep the riff-raff away and the excessive bugs, snakes, gators, etc. Having all 4 seasons is a great thing to experience. It marks time and changes things up. Would I trade it for super heat and humidity half the year with tons of bugs, snakes, spiders, and killer gators? Not really.
