Is Wisconsin STILL an ELITE Running Back Factory? (feat.
Спорт
For many years, the Wisconsin Badgers football program has established themselves as one of the top running back factories in college football, but with Phil Longo entering his 2nd year as offensive coordinator in Madison, and Braelon Allen in the NFL, will the Badgers continue their lineage of being a top running back school?

So good to see Ryan here. Would like to see this happen more often. You guys are both great.
Good stuff here. Ryan is always so eloquent and thought provoking!
I don’t think we’re gonna see many 1800+ yard rushers anymore, but we won’t have any shortages of dual 1000 yard rushers close to every year
Didn't know Ameche played at Wisc. - 🔥. Throwing the ball will make Wisky RBs even better - and more dual-threat.
Bc of BigTenTed & Longo, I pay more mind to Wisc fb than b4. Ik Fickell is gr8. '23 Wisky d' was poor during a transition season. I'm far more interested in tracking '24 Badgers' d'. Imo UW offense, in '24 and going forward, will be greater than legendary run offenses of early 2Ks. Longo offense, 2020, was amazing. If mid-2020s 'Dairy Raid' offenses replicates 60% of that 2020 efficiency & balance, Wisky will do damage in b1g play. I believe in Longo. Wisky goin' ↗️.

Defense was better as the year went on. They really struggled against the pass early. Wohler and Hallman are great players in the secondary. They did great in the portal at LB, concerned about the D Line a little bit.
What's up, Ryan! I'm cautiously optimistic, too. Longo doesn't have the dudes yet to do whatever he wants, but they're getting there.
Oh yeah. Wait and see.
Dillin Jones is a future NFL guy. RB room is stacked right now.
No Way! You got Ryan on Ted? Ryan's my boi! He's the best.

@BigTenTed for some reason your channel isn't popping on my feed. I wonder why...it's a conspiracy. You must have attended a rally or something. lol

The last rally I attended was my HS HC pep rally and I hated every moment of it. 😂 I haven't talked Badgers in a while, it was good to be a fan again!

@BigTenTed LOL, I hated everything about HS. I was thinking more about the stuff going on at college campuses. I'm definitely on one side of that, maybe it messed up the algorithm, lol. Good to have you back. Didn't you take a hiatus for awhile? Great show with Ryan. Are you doing the livestreams again this year? Wed nights?

I think you are referring to the break I took while I was adventuring in Canada last year maybe... I'm having too much fun with it now to take a break. As for the lives, I haven't done much since the season ended. Lives take a lot of work to assemble/produce and the return/interest hasn't been there when I did them after January. I'm putting a lot of effort into the quality of my shows that I put out right now.
Not sure. Melusi will have to stay healthy. Not seeing a Taylor or Allen type RB coming up in the ranks for this “Dairy Raid” offense.
Ted meet Ryan, Ryan, Ted.
Posted in the LOB discord.
😀👍
RBU is dead. You will not even see a single 1000 yard rusher this year. Running RB draws 20 times a game is not a running game.
I don't think elite RB play and an a "true" air raid offense can co-exist long term. Best example in support of your claims is Miami, but they aren't "true" air raid. Because RBs get less touches, they won't develop the same. Overall, I will not agree an air raid system is balanced. It is pass heavy and focused of throwing the ball.

Yeah, except when they can't load the box if the OLine is good, they'll average 6+ ypc. Javonte Williams 157 att, 1140yds, 7.3 ypc, 19 tds. Michael Carter 156 att, 1245yds, 8 ypc 9tds. Each had 15 carries per game. That's 30 carries.

@@johnberger8817 Depends on WR development. In this scheme, WR development is key to success.I see where you are coming from with loading the box, but I just feel like elite WR development is what they will try to accomplish. RB can be good, but not as good in the distant future.
