Wiring Subpanel in the Shed - Part #4

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I finish up the new shed electrical project by wiring the subpanel, turning on the breakers, and testing the outlets. I go step by step through wiring a subpanel, and go over my thought process for keeping a clean panel.

10AWG wire for 20 & 15 Amp circuits, I'm sure you had a the reason for using the direct burial 10gauge wire. National electrical code is the minimum requirement. So you don't have to worry about voltage drop on those circuits. (15 amp 14awg, 20 amp 12awg, and 30amp, 10awg)

Well my electrician said the 10 AWG wire since there was already a serious run of wire from the house to the shed/barn....over 100ft that's for sure, so upsize the wire to make up for voltage drop. Some of the runs in the barn were also over 100ft. I was also told since it was an outdoor barn or structure that I should be using direct burial, definitely not nmd90. Thanks again for watching!
