It's funny because this thing is almost as expensive as the Nintendo Switch itself. And a 48'' TV is how much? $300? ^_^

There is no relation between what this thing does and its price. If you are rich you can pay $1000 for a stake. But that doesn't mean the stake is worth $1000.

Nobody is denying that. But that doesn't apply to this. Do you even know how much it'd cost to build this device? You don't. So who is the ignorant then?

buddy if you have so much money just go buy it. A lot of us doesn't have that much money to pay something like this, and as time goes on these type of tool is going to get cheaper.

Lyrics: So here's something that I've been wanting to test and owned for a long period of time but I just never pulled the trigger on actually ordering one of these it's called the Nereus aries pro and what it is is a wireless hdmi transmitter and receiver so what this means is you could take any source any video source and send that video signal to a display off in the distance as you can see on the front of the box I mean they are even showing a drone here whatever video signal you want to send even from a production perspective like the various angles that we shoot for the show you could send to a display for monitoring but this one caught my attention above and beyond the other stuff that's on the market because they claim watch on HDTV with no latency at 1080p now you know why no latency is important because a lot of people are going to want to use something like this for gaming you can imagine you've got a console or something far away from a display or just the way you have your stuff wired up for cable management now finally wireless HDMI supposedly far as this company's concerned is capable of getting there without a wire so I got a few tips from people on Twitter saying Lou you got to try this out I'm going to test this out today with a Nintendo switch and a display that's about how many feet away is that over there Jack that's like 40 feet 30 feet as they say in the box this is the pro version which has a hundred feet apparently of clear wireless transmission so Nintendo switch in the dock I will send the signal all the way over there and we'll see if it actually works or we'll see if they have over stepped over over stead or does the Nereus aires pro suck so since the transmitter receiver power adapter five foot hdmi cable and so on what do they show here so obviously this will work with any video source you can see they've got a laptop hooked up play high definition video games from your desktop PC laptop ps4 xbox one or while anything really zero latency they sing zero let's crack this open gonna need a knife I just peeled the tape anyway look at that unboxtherapy and none of the professional unboxing equipment you would expect I just peel the tape off all right don't try that at home plug it into the wall plug it into the display plug the transmitter into an hdmi port that's it look at this slick little guy so this looks like the receiver I believe this will sit near the location of your TV it's got an HDMI output on it you can also wall mount it some LED indicators as well to let you know if you're linked up this model comes with a super slim transmitter so this guy here as you can see goes into any hdmi port it has also a mini USB on it this entire package would be very easy to travel with in the past I've wanted to like watch a UFC fight on a projector but maybe I don't have the source that I want going to wherever the projector is mounted now boom you just as long as this guy is down on ground level whatever you want to stream from click that baby in could be an Apple TV could be you know the deal in HDMI cable this is to go from the receiver to the display a nice right angle adapter a mini USB cable which is going to power up the transmitter so let's get this thing hooked up and see what it does alright so i have the nintendo switch in the dock and i've got the hdmi going out to the transmitter now something to mention because of the way the dock is set up i had to use a little hdmi adapter just to extend it a little bit now going into the transmitter there was a blinking light on the front of the transmitter which is now solid it's solidly lit up which i think means that it has linked itself to the receiver on the TV all the way over there so Jack's gonna swing right now and as we mentioned before this TV is somewhere between 30 and 40 feet away from where I'm sitting right now so i got the pro controller the docked nintendo switch i'm gonna power it up right now Oh Zelda oh my I don't think there's any latency I'm not sensing any I think they weren't lying man let's go for a little glide real quick here Oh baby totally playable honestly I don't notice any kind of an input delay beyond playing the game normally and I've been playing this game a lot recently this is a really cool madness when you see this happen it's a very magical moment am I gonna have enough stamina to get to the top probably not maybe I've been mostly upgrading stamina made it barely here we go that's legit they weren't lying I mean they said zero latency there's zero latency the question of the video wireless HDMI does it suck no not anymore keep in mind it's 1080p so you're getting full res like I said you want to go to a different display just grab this thing and move that there's a bad guy right there yeah how you like that look you can use his own arm to beat them up haha check these guys out it's the real deal man it's the real deal it's magical what magic is this right tom there he is there he is [Music] Maybe there are mistakes or missing words

I bought 2 of them a few months ago for our two conference rooms. We have many different customers and vendors that come in and want to use our projectors with their laptops. I also bought several adapters/converters to the hdmi to accomodate many different devices. Works awesome. Our customers/vendors no longer have to worry about grabbing a cable to the projector. With that said, 99% of what is being displayed are excel and powerpoint files. Mostly static stuff, not gaming or movies.

Ordered one of these earlier for streaming from a camera to a remote monitor. You can power the receiver off of a 2A usb powerbank - so it makes for a useful piece of filmmaking kit. Going to be testing it out soon as a way of having a roaming camera at a concert, I've read reviews that say that the connection it uses doesn't fair well with other wireless interference, so I'll find out soon the hard way I guess. The latency obviously isn't zero, but provided you're close enough and you're giving the receiver the right amount of juice, it'll quick enough to use. Still very pricey though, the Aries Prime is a better deal IMO for indoor use like in this video.

I have a PRO one that I tried to use with a gaming laptop and a projector. It worked well for about half an hour then it got really hot and started disconnecting and reconnecting every minute. After, a several minutes I lost the connection completely. I had to wait for the transmitter to cool down, reboot, and start over. I used it to watch movies and it worked fine for about a couple of hours before it got hot and failed. I am not sure if I have a defective item or not. I agree that it works well with no apparent latency (unless you are a pro gamer) but not for a long period of time.

Technically speaking in terms of EM waves, the time taken for the wave to travel from the transmitter to the receptor is (assuming the distance of 35 feet): 3.556E-5 ms or 0.00003556 ms. I have to say it since I'm doing physics.

Well DaggetDoofus I don't particularly want to teach a lesson in physics in youtube since I don't want to die or start a war. But In Long story short: Data can be lost by constructive and destructive interference with other radio waves, or by changing magnetic fields in a conductor such as an inductor. But it does NOT slow down the wave is just that the wave has changed from its starting "state"(loss of data). What would slow down an EM wave is the medium they travel through such a vacuum, water, air or brick(note most metals reflect most lower energy EM waves x-rays and under, gamma rays have high penetration and can go up to a couple of cm in led). DISCLAIMER: I'm no Physics teacher just a student and I'm writing this by memory. If you are savvy enough please do check what I'm saying and correct me.

It might seem like a really simple device but there's actually a lot in it. To transfer 1080p in realtime with no lag is quite a feat given the limited bandwidth of wireless. You might be fooled into thinking that it's no different than streaming a "1080p" video from KZread but this thing has to do all its compression/decompression on the fly. Quite impressive indeed - hence the $250 price tag.

I've owned the Nyrius Pro for 3 years now.. maybe 4? I used to think it was AWESOME and used it successfully to send clear 1080 video from: - the back of the Richmond Aud to my video switcher near the stage (over 75' easily) - from front of house (rear) behind a stage curtain to the wing monitors for them to watch the show - to send signal handheld back to my video switcher Unfortunately, it's been unreliable the last few two years, with the signal frequently completely cutting out and then back on again. With that in mind -- I couldn't recommend the product for any production environments -- unless somehow the system gets tired with age and I just need to re-purchase it anew? Well, that's my 3 cents. Cheers!

If they test it, under set conditions (which is probably only transmitting 10ft, no interference) and achieve zero latency consistently, they can advertise it. Don't forget that where there's wifi, there's interference, which is everywhere. Not to mention microwaves and cell phones which will all compound into maybe 5-10ms latency, which is on par with a typical 5ms response time monitor which people commonly use for gaming anyway (on PCs, that is).

There is no such thing as "0 latency" even wires have latency, because electrical resistance(certain materials under specific conditions can achieve 0 electrical resistance), im not saying it is impossible to get low latency, but 0 latency on a wireless device it's BS. Nevertherless it's an impressive piece of tech right there

Of course idiot trumpeteers would think "zero latency" means literally 0 latency. It means an average user wouldn't feel an added latency compared to what they would normally use, and this video proved that to be correct. Crawl back into the hole you came from.

The one thing I wish he would do in his reviews is give us a price breakdown. Its not a big deal to look it up but I just think it would be more helpful.
