Finnish melancholy melted in metal. Kai Hahto, the drummer, plays now in Nightwish.

Loneliness (Winter) is an absolutely amazing song...highly recommended

Jari's solo at 10:58 is simply awesome.

Great analysis. They are so very talented. Jari doesn't so much write songs... He writes musical expeditions. Advanced metal, for sure, full of stuff only advanced musicians can pull off, and best appreciated by seasoned ears. Well done.

This song is a classic one. I want to hear it again and again. The technical drummer (Kai Hahto/Nightwish) is my favorite.

Saw them live. Went home afterwards with black spots all over and a broken rib. Those were the days....Hope that there will be festivals and concerts next year.

Thanks, this was nice reaction, enjoyed. And now you have reached second Finnish metal band. Wintersun and Nightwish are my favorites. In this band Jari Mäenpää (blonde guitarist with white guitar) means same than Tuomas Holopainen to Nightwish. And in Wintersun recordings, Jari plays all those instruments what you hear but don´t see...

Great reaction mate! 👌🏼😊 Btw Drummer Kai Hahto is playing now in Nightwish. I hope you do reactions also other two songs from Sonic Pump studio Sons of Winter and Stars and Land of Snow and Sorrow. Also Forest Seasons album is dope. Jari Mäenpää who is singer guitarist is mastermind behind the band. Basicly Wintersun started as his soloproject when he was kicked out of Ensiferum, which is finnish folkmetal band, because of Wintersun took too much time. Jukka Koskinen plays bass and Teemu Mäntysaari is playing other guitar. While ago Jari stopped playing guitar and they hired Asim Searah to other guitarist.

thanx react wintersun music. always wonderful see professional react music like wintersun make. singer jari is self made vocalist and guitar playing(amazing voice and skills to singing) he stop playing guitar in live consert coz he want to focus to singing better (they hired new guitar player). drummer kai is still wintersun drummer even he is also nightwish drummer. hopefully you can listening wintersun loneliness lyric video,it´s very beautyful and sad song(masterpiece). ok thanx and have great day there.

Wintersun is awesome. I don't play them too frequently but it's always a pleasure when I'm ready to dive back in.

Loneliness really tears me up when he sings his emotional comes through men don’t cry cause he sings of family members passed of he lives in USA he would be a real Sensation , other members def too a very close friends just lack money people Dislike His money funding but he’s so passionate he wants to live in a studio and make music so unique and layered it will change the genre

Yes I saw that too. Very good interview and he also confirms that he is officially still part of Wintersun. They were also always listing Saari (great drummer from Finntroll, replacing Kai for live gigs) as session drummer

It just my opinion,, you can make "mistake" reaction if always listen band at first time... When you was 3 time repeated that track,, then you realize... "Man...this is awesome,, i got this...!"

Well technically this video is two songs "Darknes and Frost" and "Time" and the first song is basically an instrumental as is the first song on the album right before "Sons of Winter and Stars" but blends so perfectly into the next song that you can't hear the change from one song to the other. Also the end of the album goes over into the intro of the album so you can continously play the entire album on loop and it fits perfectly over and over again. I highly recommend to listen to the full album with each track in order and enjoy the ride. (I recommend that as well with the Album Forest season where due to the nature of the topic about the four seasons is similar in this regard. It also contains all four ~15min tracks as instrumentals too, if you are more into that)

And where is the one who plays the keyboards? I do not like THIS.

Jari wrote and played the whole original album. They have yet to find a keyboard player so his original is tracked.
