They will thank you for it. It's been so dry. Even when it snows, there's so little water content.
Thanks for the ‘education’. I’m a recent transplant to Colorado and have struggled with the weird soil and plant watering needs.

Welcome to Colorado!
I was wondering how much to water during winter, so I was very glad to find this video even though it was a year ago. Thank you!

Thank you for information about time of day and temperature. I have a boxwood I added to end of hedge and noticed it was struggling. I have randomly given it water but need to give it more based on your advice!

Great video! I noticed you had young maple trees. Are these the Autumn Blaze Red Maple?

My maples are Tatarian 'Hot wings'. Both 'Autumn blaze' and 'Hot wings' are good choices for Colorado's alkaline soils. I like to give them supplemental iron in the spring when new leaves appear.

@@FrontRangeGardener Thanks for the insight! Would you pair your maples with Velvet Boxwoods? They have such a nice round shape and reportedly grow well in our climate zone. Have you had success with these?

Boxwoods are too formal for my landscape. There do seem to be a lot of varieties to choose from.
