WINTER STORM CAMPING w/ a DIESEL Heater

Ойын-сауық

WINTER STORM CAMPING w/ a DIESEL Heater. I spent a night solo winter camping in my 4runner during a snow storm. The temperature got down to 7F (or -13C) degrees windchill and the snow just kept falling.
The gear I used:
The Sleeping Bag: amzn.to/3GxT7yo
The Heater: amzn.to/3onz2EA
The Axe: amzn.to/3ujq9jc
The Power: amzn.to/3L4wo0l
The Tent: gofastcampers.com/

  • @OXFOOT

    2 жыл бұрын

Solo camping just means that you basically have to do everything by yourself which doesn’t sound that bad but you will realize quickly you’re on your own cooking, cleaning, setting everything up, breaking it down. Secondly in my case I make sure to always keep a remote hole punching device (aka fire @rm) on me at all times in case bears or something larger than you comes up. And lastly is it’s not as fun. You don’t have that time sitting around the fires with the buddies. I will say I like both. Sometimes with work and trying to grow a KZread channel I just need to get out there and have time to think on my own.

Doesn't your diesel heater controller have a built-in Thermostat? If so, shouldn't you have it in the RTT with you to control the RTT temp? If not, how does your heater regulate what temperature to maintain? Or does your simply run max power all night long? I have a similar heater (the version with the fuel tank on the side), and I extended the wiring on the controller so that I can bring it in the RTT, then set a comfortable temperature, and the heater does a good job maintaining that throughout the night. It's more efficient too, as the heater goes on low power mode once the desired temp has been reached, and will only kick back to high when maintaining the heat.

  • @OXFOOT
