Comfort food usually, like soup and cornbread. Yall went the sockeye route, thats the only salmon i eat lol

I took my son out for a winter camp. Was to be a couple inches of snow. We woke up to over a foot. Snow is a great insulator! 😄 Didn't have a tent stove back in the day, however the heat from the fire was tunneled to the tent wirh a dining canopy & kitchen setup. When the Ranger came by to check on everyone he said he was told we were tent camping so he didn't know what to expect & relieved we knew what we were doing. 😊 Yeah, mom's winter camp too! We set up a coffee hot chocolate station for the college kids that we out skiing the fire trails & they built snow forts with my son & made lil sleds. Ended up staying a week! 😊

Man that sounds like a cold night. When I think back to camping as a kid I don't know how I didn't freeze solid without the ultra warm sleeping bags and pads I have today. How did your son enjoy that camping trip?

@@2withnature He's 40 now still loves camping, backpacking. Took his dau for her 1st camp at a month old like he did. 😄 Really wasn't that cold - 20s and around 70 under the tarp & tent. Too warm for the snowsuit in there!

Hi guys, enjoyed another great video. I can't wait to go on another camping trip(when it's warmer). My husband and I went for our anniversary for the first time this year. We decided to make it a tradition. I love to cook. I made homemade mac n cheese, with the Coleman oven, lamb chops and brussel sprouts with caramelized onions and bacon drizzled in balsamic vinegar. I know it's a tall order but it was our thirtieth wedding anniversary and our first time camping. It was wonderful.

I don't want to make it sound like I'm grading you but you guys have a very organized campsite your equipment is phenomenal I love your tent that's the tent I want I don't care about the strings on the outside cuz in the winter time I plan on being on the inside It really is relaxing to watch your shows I'm sure you have been doing this for a while it's flawless stay safe I can't wait for the big snow

Thanks! Our main lantern's battery died a few hours into the night. Sometimes the battery lasts a while other times it doesn't but ya it got dark.

My wife and I used to in our 40's. Really set the tent up nice. But we bought a pop up and camp on that now.

@@2withnature Terribly. Oregon is a great state to camp and hike in. But my knees were hurt badly in a fall and my wife has decided to stop using the tents.

Be even better if your videos were 30 min long or more. I have been tracking the snow ❄️ in Buffalo and Niagara Ontario. Imagine 30 cm to 150 cm of snow in a hot tent. Is that even doable?

It would be doable, just a lot more work. You'd just have to not let too much weight of snow accumulate on top of the tent. The truck however probably couldn't handle it.
