Beef Stew in Scotland. Other stews but Beef has always been No. 1 👍

So, I went to bed lastnight thinking, "When is Jay going to upload a video? I can't wait!", and lo and behold, I wake up today and here you are. I love the tent, it looked like a jewel in the woods at night. I love to camp, chop wood, etc...specifically in winter but have been completely unable to do so for quite a while. Your videos calm my soul.....thank-you so very much. Oh, I'm a lamb stew girl :)

Nice tent setup, stove, and cots. Hot stew on a cold day....that works! Just nice to be out in the woods.

It's so nice to hear from a person who loves the snow, the fresh air and nature. I feel sorry for folks who have to live in the south with the heat & the humidity.

I’m personally the opposite. I’ve grown up where there’s snow my whole life in the Midwestern US. I’ve grown to hate it. Waking up at 4am to shovel before work, shoveling when I get home, slipping on the ice in the driveway, etc. As an outdoorsman, hiking in the cold (especially in winter when all the trees are leafless) is boring if not outright painful. Snow is great once in a while just to look at for a while. It’s pretty. But that’s about it for me. If I never saw snow again, I wouldn’t miss it. Longer growing seasons, better hiking weather, no frostbite or slipping on ice, all positives in my boom. Great to see others enjoying it though.

Love watching you winter camping video’s while i have a nice cup of coffee in front of a nice warm fire, great video as always keep them coming, I have plenty of coffee and fire wood, and Rabbit stew sure takes some beating.

Fun video! Thanks for taking us camping with you 😊 One little suggestion... Put some spices in that stew. A bit of fresh rosemary, oregano, some basil, and a couple of minced garlic cloves and I bet it would taste even better! Salt and pepper are fine but using other savory spices will take your stew to the next level! 🤤

So funny thing I was watching your video in the kitchen while my wife was preparing vegetable soup. Well our vegetable soup turned into chicken vegetable stew lol. Keep up the videos you have almost got me convinced to get out and get the tent up. We’re still a little warm here in Northern Ontario but I think it’s about to change.stay safe and keep the videos coming and I will keep hitting the like Thks Ian

Jay, that's an amazing tent. I can't believe how warm it is inside when the temperate is so so cold. I'd be happy to go camping in it every weekend during the winter.

Jay your becoming my favorite KZreadr. I watch Joe, John, Justin, Shawn, northern scavenger but something about the cold winter I love. I live in Ohio but have a place in eastern Ontario and winter is my favorite time up there. Ice fish all day and go back to the cottage and have a warm meal and a good fire going doesn’t get any better.

Wow that tent has lots of room. Chicken stew yummy on these cold frigid days. Nice vid Jay. Be blessed and have fun.

I think I like this tent more than the bear tent. I love the awning at the entrance and glow of light the tent lets in.

This tent is really nice for sure. Love how warm it was.

I like beef stew, but for lunch, not dinner. I think beef is more likely to cause heartburn if eaten too close to bedtime. ( horizontal digestion issues???) Chicken is no problem. Grilled cheese sandwich dipped in tomato soup would be a favorite too, I’m sure, if I winter camped. Just my experience. Your videos are comfy cozy experiences for those of us too old to experience it for ourselves. Many thanks again!

What is so great is being warm right next to the bitter cold,like being on the edge between hostile and friendly.. Also kudos for using broth instead of water in your stew.

Living in Summery South Africa and not having an aircon just watching your freezing temps cools my granny flat down. Hehe...crazy old Granny Fox. My favorite meat is lamb. Stews and curries but also am mad about curried tripe and offal. Your sky is beautiful and so is the forest. Love Mother Natures outdoor decorating. Your tent ⛺ really is the bees 🐝 knees without the butt sting. Very impressive. We look forward to your adventures and "camp chef" skills and wish you many more and cheers 🍻. What a nice tent! You must have had a good sleep..the window cracked open a bit..the fan going too? Haven’t seen a sleeping bag that big since the 70s, lined with plaid of course. Comes with its own hockey bag! You were set up pretty good and a homemade meal on top of it! Great video….winter has arrived for you..even the snow is crunchy..brr 🇨🇦❤️🔥

Love chicken stew, also make a chicken pot pie that’s delicious. Turkey and Beef chili is a favorite for my family. And, with your oven you could sour dough bread or simple peasant bread in a few hours! I’d try it for sure! Thank you!

Jay, if you want good hot pick me up, try ice tea powder with hot water. Good hot refreshing brew. I still love my coffee and tea, but for a little sugar energy on the trail it can't be beat. Put in a thermos and stash it in a pack and you can enjoy on the ride.

I love beef stew with home made buttermilk biscuits !!! My favorite meal ! It saved us children when our parent's left us "home alone ", and my father was arrested for drunk driving in our neighboring state. He was in there for over a week. My mom never drove. The neighbors noticed that our parents were mia, we were were hungry !!!!!

These videos of you getting out into the wilderness are great! I’m working my way to hot tent/stove. Thank you for all the info on these tents and stoves

Jay we are campers also (old style), mainly way up north Ontario. Yeah okay, for your chicken, beef and lamb, but try moose (venison), over the fire pit, or on the stove. I like the bag Jay, mine is -23 I think.

Wish i was there.. Im no fan of the cold, but that looks so snug, warm and cosy.. and what a beautiful atmosphere

Great tent. My favorite stew is chicken, but I like the way I make it because I like a strong chicken taste to it. I don't just wave the chicken over the top of the pot! Looking forward to the next video. Always a fan. Stay healthy and safe.

I love camping, but i can never fall asleep without at least hearing a fan and it has to be cold or I'm up all night haha so that fan / light would be nice to have while camping Every single person we know has to have a fan on full blast while sleeping, idk how people sleep without them. Just gives you that constant white noise which is very easy to fall asleep to.

We prefer beans and cornbread. We also have a heat powered fan for our wood stove...absolutely love it.

Love all kinds of stew... Next time saute up the vegs with aromatics until translucent pull out then brown the chicken and remove while it cools shred or cube. Deglaze the pan with white wine or chicken add stock and remaining ingredients..

I love stew chicken and rice with a fresh salad, stew chicken and dumbpling are comfort food 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I like chicken. You should try Italian sausage sometime I also add tomatoes, bell peppers, onion along with potatoes. It’s good. Use brooth for liquid. Put a couple tablespoon of corn starch or flour to thicken. Just put it in a small zip storage bag. YUM 🤤

Stew of any kind is good. Chicken 🐔 stew with dumplings...my wife made that a few weeks ago. That tent is so similar to our Gazelle dining tent ⛺️

Bet that fire felt good. Lighter frozen. good drone work. Put a can of biscuits on top next time, can do cooked beans the same. They will stay on top and brown. Not dumplings but pretty good.

Another awesome camping adventure. Those Pentagon tent rock...Dave & Vivian also has a Pentagon tent. We should be seeing them soon. Chicken, Beef,Turkey stews are all good...no preference. Can't wait till winter arrives, still mild weather here in Southern Ontario +7c to +12c. Got all my gear ready, UP2, underpad, med stove,Browning Klondike sleeping bag -30c..good to go😁 Thanks for the share Brother. Cya in the next one 👊🔥🇨🇦🔥👊
