Thank you for your kind words! I appreciate your support. This video showcases the beauty of camping in adverse weather conditions, and I couldn't agree more with your praise for the content creator. Speaking of outdoor gear, if you're looking for reliable power solutions during your camping adventures, I highly recommend the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series. It offers massive capacity, fast recharging, and comprehensive protection features. It's the perfect companion for outdoor enthusiasts like us!

I am 69. My grandfather was a deer hunter, here in Michigan, so it was cold and often snowy. We are talking the 1950's. He camped in a canvas tent. He would clear the tent site and build a large fire. When the fire went down, he raked it back again clearing the tent site and set the tent up. The ground was dry and warm and during the night, the heat stored in the ground from the fire , would rise into the tent. What they did after that first night, I don't know. Have you ever heard of doing this?

Similar situation happened to me in Scotland. I was driving looking for the Glenfiddich distillery. I pulled to the side of this narrow country road to check my map to find out where I was. As I was sitting there two Harriers from the RAF came screaming overhead at treetop level. Scared the crap out of me, because of the Suprise factor, but it was AWSOME!!!

Luke, FYI. Your property is in a MOA. A Military Operations Area. As an AF operator we used these areas to control notional close air support. Many times, if we found a vehicle on the road or stopped, we would use it as a TOA (target of opportunity). Good training. People would be surprised to know how many MOAs there are. Many over small towns, the alt restrictions are just higher. Aloha. Great video, Mahalo for sharing.

I knew it. I use to drill water wells in Arizona years ago. We would be rigged up in the middle of the desert and jets would do line ups on us.people thought I was full of it but one time they got so low, when I looked up, all I saw was under belly. It was amazing

My apt tends to get chilly at night in the winter. I turn the heater down a bit to sleep better and save a bit on the heating bill. Love your videos. Have purchased some things I watched you use on your videos. Doing some prepping for emergencies. God Bless.

Thank you, Joe, for guiding me over these last several years. The pain i carry inside (Afghanistan) is my wounds and loss. Well, it tiik a HUGH toll on my soul. I was suicidal, lost in pain for so long, but hinestly, you were a source of hope. I died April 16, 2011, and I left my body and was ingulfed in a BLACK ABYISS. Nobody, no family to greet me, no tumnel with a light at the end, just my soul in total darkness. I had this thought that a HORRIBLE sinner, desirved Hell. The darkness started to fade, i felt an amazing sense of ABSOLUTE BLISS, and then 3 time, a voice told me its was ok. Then I was in my body again,10 minutes later when my vision came back. The chaplin was reading me my last rights.. When he saw me looking back up at him... he started shouting over and over come back i was alive. For many years, i just wanted to return back to that absolute beautiful bliss.

I have stayed overnight in all kinds of outdoor conditions. Some very warm and comfortable and some, not so much. What I learned over the years is that you have to have shelter from wind, rain, and snow and you need to have a source of heat to keep you warm, and you have to have all of this set up before you need it. Mother Nature can throw some mighty blows and redundancy is a blessing. There is a difference between surviving and being comfortable.

Love your videos. The sound of rain against a tent has to be the most relaxing sounds ever. Im a assistant scoutmaster with my troop, and when we go to scout camp in the summer, we are there for 8 days, so a large tent is essential. I have one about this size i take. I have a small pop up tent I use in fall and winter as its small size and being one piece without a rainfly it really stays warm.

I have had 1 single-wall tent, a Cabela’s Alaknak, and although it was great with a wood burning stove, it would collect puddles of condensation in the corners if I used a propane heater. I switch to the Cabela’s Instinct Alaskan Guide 8 person double-wall tent and all of the condensation collects on the rain fly and runs down to the ground or evaporates and the inside of the tent stays dry. The rain fly adds an extra step when setting up and taking down but it works better for me.

I love Dantes peak. We had a 6 man dome tent that lasted our family of 5 for 30 years or longer. My husband at 6'2 could stand with 4 to spare. We lived in Michigan at the time and camped every weekend rain, sun, or snow, until October. When my son was 10 he would take it out in the back yard and run a power strip out and hook up a TV, Nintendo, etc. Etc. And have a neighborhood camp out with a couple of friends. We got our use out of it that's for sure and only had issues with replacing an occasional bamboo dowels or whatever they are called. Years later, Walmart started carrying them so we always had extras.

One thing I think would enhance your hot tent is a small popup gazebo. It sets up fast and using spare suspender clips or spring steel paper clips, you can attach plastic tarps to the roof on three sides to enclose and keep wind rain and snow out and heat in for making meals. In summer, if you find some mosquito netting, you can enclose the area with it. Different size clips have different uses. Towels can dry under it. Wish I had one years ago when I forgot our awning and it was raining hard and had no way to make dinner on the tailgate of our truck. I learned over the years. We had hunted all day in the cold rain and were close to hypothermia and exhausted. We had a Coleman tent heater which helped. Your video reminds me of that day.

👍👍👍 Nice demo, Thanks. Yes, I'd always rather have a honest review. I own a POMOLY Stove (Dweller Max2.0) very satisfied with this wood stove. Haven't used it much but I do understand that POMOLY did do a couple re-design and improvements to the Stove before I purchased mine. Very smart re-designs as per customer request. Very impressive. I use mine in a 12x12 Kodiak Lodge canvas tent ⛺️. Nothing against dome tents but I'm not as young as I thought I once was. Back fusion & a total hip replacement , both in the last 7 months. Hopeing to be able to go camp by New Years. Thanks again ! ...Alan in 🇨🇱

Bothe thought it was so cool to see Luke that they banked around for a second pass. Luke made their day 😊👍

Hi Luke, I like this tent a lot, it appears really sturdy and strong and very comfortable with all the room inside. I'm so glad the rains are coming to help with the fires! I love your channel so much! I'll just sit down with my breakfast or lunch and catch up with the latest informative camping gear stuff or what's happening with you and Susie, where you're goin' etc. I think I just saw my nickname Cricket just flash up on your video - That was Cool! 😃 Unless there's another Cricket out there commenting this 😃's for you too! I'm honored to contribute even in the small way I do. Now, back to the episode and my breakfast 😉🍳🥓Just listened to you describing the Pomoly stove hut tent - I will say that THIS is part of the reason why I like you and your channel so much - Your honesty and Integrity! Oh and those tacos looked BOMB! I have a suggestion for breakfast: a couple of scrambled eggs, diced tomato, cheddar cheese, salt & pepper, all rolled up in a tortilla with cilantro - quick, easy, simple and filling.

You also can sprint to the truck to sleep if the tent leaks or if close enough, to the cabin. Glad you gave the company another look. Owls! I love listening to owls. Naturally so you also have woodpeckers in the vicinity of your place. Nifty. I like your rather comfortable looking cot.

Good to see the manufacturer has improved the design to a workable level. The minor leakage you saw would be easily remedied with a bit of seam sealer most likely and that is good enough for me. It was also good to see that the rather mediocre heat output of the Firemaple stove/heater was enough to suffice in that situation. It's good to see it does have some funcitonality.
