My husband died on July 4th so it has been difficult for me to watch your channel but I am gradually getting back to watching Bruno & you. There's a gentleman that I follow in Canada. Always has interesting backwoods winter camps. The man brought a whole roast out to grill over the fire. He gave the dog 3/4 of the roast and took the rest for himself. By the time he sat to eat his portion, the dog had consumed that massive hunk of meat and literally had his snout a whisker's length from the man's mouth, ready to snatch. He buckled and gave him the rest. It was his dog, but I was still taken aback by the behavior of both. Dogs, much like humans, need boundaries. I appreciate that you have those with your companions.

Tony, my favourite two videos of all are polar opposites. I witnessed the sadness of letting Bruce go and then the laughter of Bruno stealing your stick. The tears of sadness and the tears of laughter are very genuine. Tony, keep up the great work. Stay safe, be happy.

@@JMD-tu1xm Border Collies are born tuned in to man and they make wonderful companions IF they are well-trained. Years ago, there was a Border Collie on one street who was allowed to run free and he would "herd" cars as they came down "his" street. He did that for years and years, so we always looked for him when we went that way, which was a lot, as it was a street which led through to the back way to get to a main drag and saved time without having to fight traffic on the so-called, main road. The dog would slink along in that crouch, which is a genetic trait, which protects them from kicks from the cattle they are herding (I don't know if sheep kick, too.) It was a wonder to watch that dog and see how intense he was about herding the cars. They are thinking dogs and always looking to their masters for direction and are not sedentary pet-type dogs--They are working dogs and MUST have something to do, or they will wreak havoc around the house and yard.

Ditto, ditto and DITTO! The part where Bruno goes behind your to take the stick after you told him no, AND while you are talking about how you hear him whimpering, and he doesn't get everything he wants, and there are too many entitled people and dogs, pets etc. is Hysterical!!! Went back and watched some of your oldest videos and have to say you have made an amazing transition from then to now. Your ability to learn and grow is really being demonstrated in the quality of your productions. You have a unique ability to draw people in and allow them to truly sense what you are doing. I watch many others. So many seem to try and emulate you, but they simply can not duplicate that personal quality that you add in with all of your Camping Experiences. The charisma, the true humaness (not a word but I like it), the actual reality that we see is not something that others can replicate. Why do I watch? Yes I love the camping, the tools, the food, the gear reviews, Bruno and the locations, but what really seems to stand out is your ability to communicate the entire experience . A bit wordy I know, but I don't comment often and it just seems right this time. Thanks for the fun. Oh and by the way, 0 degrees there but here in Texas today 110 degrees, and sidewalks are around 120. So fun.:).

It's very refreshing to see a dog owner who gives their dog what he needs for good health and not necessarily what the dog wants. It seem that Bruno get what he needs in food, discipline and affection. And don't let any negative text bother you. It has been my experience that those who criticize are usually jealous. Hi Tony! I always love your camps, even the last one where you had some bad luck with the chair and the snow caving in. You showed us how to think quick and improvise with what's available. I also thought it was an incredible camp because it had every type of weather in one camp and then, you woke up to a beautiful snowy scene. It was also beautiful to see Bruno play and enjoy the snow for his first time. As for this camp, I am at dinner time and to answer your question, YES, the headlamp worked great. I also thought the fire was superb. There was only a tiny bit of smoke in the beginning and after it got going, it was just roaring. All this to say, that you didn't need to call it your Redemption Camp. ALL your camps are fantastic! I love them all!

I watched your last video too and for all the failure you endured when you came out of the tent in the morning and the color of the sky and all the beautiful snow it was stunning. Thank you for all your hard work you do on these videos. I think you and Bruno are great. On this trip at dusk with the roaring fire and mountains in the background just gorgeous. Compared to your last video with all the mishaps especially when your chair gave out on you this was a perfect video Tony. Glad you saved the fire after the kettle of water spilled in it. I'm happy the new chair held up. Burgers looked great. That snow scene was like a Christmas post card... really captivating. Bruno had me laughing every time he tried to steal your firewood. 😂😂 Dogs are the best. I always enjoy your videos.

Regarding the show, Poisoned. Sometimes the field workers empty the portable bathrooms in the fields. No wonder people die from E. coli. Too ignorant to understand what this does to people. Sadly. We farm almonds, sell them through Blue Diamond, like most growers we keep our fields as clean as possible. We do care that a safe product leaves our orchard. My Dad was a dairyman, who bottled and sold his milk at two drive in locations, extra effort meant no one ever got sick drinking the milk products he sold for 60 years. I have spent the day camping with you today. I took my kids camping, and love the outdoors, but after nine hip surgeries, they removed the hip. So thank you for having me along today. i miss it, especially sleeping under the stars, without a tent. Yes, even in the rain, I used a shower curtain to stay dry, that I bought on sale at Walmart for $1.00...Thanks for the cigar time. K.
