Jets 2 key acquisitions, Monahan, and Toffoli at the trade deadline by Chevy are proving to be big. Jets looking like the "real deal" here, and I think at the very least will make a deep playoff push, and good chance they get in the Cup final, and who knows -- they may bring the Cup home to the Peg !!! Jets trades have been easily the best of any team this year I'd say, Vilardi & Iafallo have both been huge aswell. Vilardi's had a monster year

That third goal against was sad and embarrassing. The effort made me think dubois was back on the team. Second line needs to stop turning the puck over. People want to blame pionk but samberg and morrissey look just as bad after turnovers like that.

Pionk could have been responsible for 5 goals against all by his little self. He looks like a rec hockey player at this point. But we are not a serious hockey team, or a serious city, or a serious country.

@@Parksideshotcaller I wanted to see a Jets/Oilers matchup in Round 1 but I'll take a Jets/Canucks matchup in Round 2. Too bad Calgary missed out, we might have had a Battle of Alberta too. The best ending would be any of the West Canadian teams beating the Leafs in 7 games, coming from behind 3-0 and handing Toronto their most historic and disappointing choke.

@@saucylittlenumber3575 And it's a nationally televised game, Brossoit will have a lot of GMs watching, he'll be a UFA at the end of the season and looking for a starter position, probably in the neighbourhood of $6 million per season on a 5 or 6 year contract. If he gets another ring in back-to-back seasons GMs will be scrambling to sign him for whatever he asks for. I could see him going back to the Golden Knights but they'd have to make some big changes to get under the salary cap.

They did well but it's still extremely unlikely they get by Edmonton. Perhaps next year will be the one!

Are you joking, just 2 years ago, the Jets swept the Oilers 4 straight, with McDavid and Draisaital in the lineup. The Jets did also not have Monahan, and Toffoli like they do now, who are both 30 goal scorers. The Jets Goaltending is better than the Oilers have. Jets in 6 (- "no more") Don't get me wrong, the Oilers are great,and exciting to watch, but do not have the depth of teams like the Jets, Vegas and Dallas. Their like Toronto.

​@@grantp4022They also didn't have a manical crowd cheering them on. Which is a damn shame because that ot goal by Ehlers in game 3 would have been even better. Probably one of the greatest goals scored in Jets history, 1.0 or 2.0.

I've noticed Pionk making some bad plays lately, but to be fair his pass on the game-winning goal in this game was key, not to mention quite stellar.
