This discourse reminded me of discourses by Osho, where he talks about knowledge vs truth. He says, you can know the chemical formula of water, know it's physical properties and you can describe what it tastes like, but those none of these things things is same as experience of drinking. All the knowledge can at max point towards the actual thing, and never be the actual thing. And sometimes knowledge hinders you from seeing the though the truth when it finally arives because it has strongly colored your expectations and you can't see things for what they are.

It’s not the thought that matters it’s the awareness that thought has returned that matters. Shift back into presence. There’s nothing to think about.

What I have learnt from Kapil is that you need to have that burning desire to achieve something and a whole new universe will open up to you for it's achievement.

Not to compare myself with Kapil, but for me, whether it's about writing anything, poetry or going to the well of insight, it‘s moving me naturally into an emotional or spiritual state of openness and humility, and words just come. Also, it seems that either there has to be a sufficient amount of either internal suffering or love.

You ever like watch one of these videos on topics explored in some depth and then you go down to the comments section and everyone is a philosopher with apparently same train of thought and vocabulary. It’s really weird. Its not just Kapil videos, it’s every philosophical video. It’s like no one has their own lingo. It’s like no one can admit that they know nothing and that they’re probably just hungry for a chalupa from Taco Bell and you just wasted your time reading this comment ❤

Kapil is always pitching his message to the already arrived. And in a sense he is echoing Feynman, who quoting Gibbons once said that the methods of instruction are seldom of much efficacy except in those happy dispositions where it's almost superfluous. But in that case what is the rest of humanity going to do, floundering as they have been since the very beginning? I think the answer is love for each other. Love is the most potent force that IMHO, transcends everything, including truth. Nobody figures out the exact true nature of things, and the point is it doesn't matter. As long as we can agree to love and care for each other, it's enough to lift humanity by its own bootstraps, and while not perfect, it's sufficiently effective to warrant consideration. Why do people suffer from anxiety, it's because of some form of insecurity that they feel would make them vulnerable if brought to the fore, so if everyone forgives each other regarding those, it would not only liberate them from their mental prisons but actually lead to a flourishing of new ideas and innovations in all possible fields. Understanding where your anxiety is stemming from can be efficacious only to masters, but it doesn't strike at the root of the problem, which is the fact that the very genesis of the anxiety is needless and is built on the false ideas of sin, when in a block universe everything has been set in stone since eternity and we're merely going through the motions. The notion of free will is an artefact of evolution and the entire paradigm of the law of karma is predicated on it, but in reality no such thing actually exists. But does that mean I'm espousing that we suspend all rules of law and justice, absolutely not, all I am saying is that in an ideal society people would be too loving of each other to come to mutual harm, and it's time we strove towards it.
