I never used neither of them. But one thing you forgot to mention is the "break in" feed back. Cause a lot of people say Reyes takes a lot of time until it breaks in and be "your glove" ppl report 2-3 months, so out of the box the glove doesn't feel that well.

Have watched several of your glove videos. But would appreciate your specific recommendation of 2 or 3 specific gloves with model # or full name of glove for 2022. I am over 60 yrs old, but a beginner. I just want to do bag work. I need maximum knuckle and wrist protection for Heavy Bag. I am not going to spare, or mitt work. Please recommend 2 or 3 gloves (under $150.00 each) for maximum wrist and knuckle protection for Bag Work only. I am 6'1" and 175lbs with long arms. Prefer no laces, but will take your advice.Thank you very much. Great channel.

I bought Reyes gloves without ever trying them on. Didn’t like them for multiple reasons: the wrist is too long, can’t turn it over. The thumb will jam and it hurts. The latex foam is not good for sparring. I use powerlocks now and they are amazing but after 4 months are already starting to feel broken down. I think I’ll save up for winning. I have used Reyes exclusively, i have the bag glove and the (more padded) training glove. Both are great quality, the leather smells great and they never stink. The gloves took a while to break in. The first few times putting on the Reyes gloves your hands will be constricted and feel horrible. It took a few weeks but now both the bag glove and training glove feel molded perfectly to my hand. Final thing, Reyes has the best wrist support. Better than any other gloves I have tried. Price point is amazing too, and ease of purchasing. Winning is on my bucket list but its so hard to find them. they are expensive and so many different models of gloves. Never found a good place to order Winning that wont take forever to deliver and responds to customer support.

The extra padding won't add life to the glove the extra padding is more for protection. So if you don't need extra protection I would stay with the traditional training glove or the high precision glove. If you buy Reyes and you want to do workouts with push-ups I definitely recommend doing your push-ups in an old beat up pair of gloves you don't care about.

I do a lot of bag work and sparring with the same gloves and was wondering if the extra padding was ideal for that, or would you still recommend the originals? As an Amateur Boxer in my opinion the Reyes have to hard padding for sparring sessions in pure Boxing and the wrist cover is too long. I don't like these kind of Gloves. However both Gloves are very good quality gloves, but out there, there are many not so famous Companies which make equal high quality gloves and even more comfortable as Winning or Reyes😉

@@PuzSZN I agree in some cases as a martial artist with a boxing base who tries to strengthen my knuckles as well I still think the Winning's have a use case even on fight night. If your a hard puncher like me who throws stuff like Jolt counters and throws every bit of weight behind a punch the Winning are definitely worth it if you go that far for punching power. If you do that and accidentally land to the Elbow, Forehead, or other hand breaking hard spots your hand won't turn into shattered glass. It also lets you punch as hard as possible without worrying about your knuckles and if you have lace ups even your wrist even if you land at a bad angle. Though these would be terrible for street fighting habits the reyes would be your best bet there. Since gloves like Winnings teach you to throw nuclear bombs cause of the dense padding however if you condition and treat the leather and inside these will probably outlast any gloves you can buy 5 times over at least especially if you don't use them 24/7. Though do Reyes being so narrow if you use complex guard breaking punches like Vertical Jabs these gloves could frustrate your opponent. Especially since there probably gonna be feeling the sting off those if you have a hard straight stiff jab. And a good Cross is all the worse for them.

@@PuzSZN Oh I meant there fight night gloves. Like official match lace ups and not their Bag Gloves. I know they make the special extra padded model. But those take all the fun out of it since you lose a lot of the pop and momentum since they're double the weight. Lower weight class for reference so I use 8s for size. Besides the best thing about Reyes is they're slim and low profile and lightly padded. As far as bag gloves go in my opinion there are better options in that department for the money. If I was gonna be hitting the bags and going at it as an infighter throwing bombs I would want the best hand protection I can get since I have somewhat frail meta carpals.
